The Pokémon Company debuted a brand-new Pokémon Presents yesterday that showcased what's in store for the mega franchise in the coming months. Toward the end of the presentation, a bit of Pokémon Legends: Z-A was showcased, loosely breaking down what the upcoming game's story would entail.
What wasn't divulged during the Pokémon Presents was that Nintendo was planning to release a Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 bundle that would pair the company's new console with the next iteration of the series at a discounted price. But as the Presents concluded, Nintendo made a separate announcement doing just that.
While N intendo revealed the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 bundle yesterday, it didn't make clear exactly when excited Pokémon Trainers could go online and catch the package. That information came this morning, as preorder pages started going up at various video game retailers.
Where Can You Preorder the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 Bundle?
As of now, there are preorder pages live at Target, Best Buy, and GameStop, which list the system and game combo at $500. The Nintendo Switch 2 is currently retailing at $450, while Pokémon Legends: Z-A is being priced at $70 on the Nintendo Switch 2. Thus, ordering the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 bundle will end up saving gamers about $20.
The $500 price point is unsurprising, but this bundle featuring Pokémon Legends: Z-A is actually a bit less of a value than the one that includes Mario Kart World. Because Nintendo's racer retails at $80, it provides $30 of value in bundle form.
The Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 bundle does not include the physical edition of the game. Instead, the console box contains a full game download code.
Can You Preorder the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 Bundle on Amazon?
Update: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 bundle preorders are now live at Walmart as well.
It's a bit odd to not see Walmart as part of the parties that have Pokémon Legends: Z-A bundles available for preorder. All throughout the Nintendo Switch 2's launch and preorder window, the retailer was heavily involved in the sale of consoles, games, and peripherals. Amazon doesn't appear involved in bundle sales at this point either, which is par for the course as of late. However, the massive online retailer has begun selling Nintendo Switch 2 games recently, including Pokémon Legends: Z-A for Switch 2, and has limited quantities of Nintendo Switch 2 consoles available through an invitation process.
As you can probably imagine, these Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 bundles are likely to sell out fast. If you're interested in having one secured for the game's October 16th launch, you're going to want to select your retailer of choice and sign up. Those that preorder the game are also going to be eligible for some cool preorder bonuses that include the awesome new Mega Dragonite and a Ralts that comes with a Gardevoirite Stone. Those that preorder just the digital edition of Pokémon Legends: Z-A will get an additional 100 Poke Balls to help them start with their adventure in Lumiose City.
