The confirmation that Rayman 2 will be joining the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service gives credibility to a list of leaked Nintendo 64 games that may be coming in the near future. Nintendo Switch Online is split into two distinct tiers. There's the basic version of the service, and then there's the Expansion Pack, with the latter giving subscribers access to GBA, Genesis, Nintendo 64, and GameCube games on top of all the classics available in the lower tier.

Nintendo has slowly added Nintendo 64 games to the Expansion Pack tier of Switch Online over the years, with many of the console's absolute-best titles readily available on the service. Classic games like Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time have been a part of the Switch Online Expansion Pack for years, with other classics like GoldenEye 007 joining over time as well. There are many great Nintendo 64 games on the Switch Online Expansion Pack tier, but there are still plenty that have yet to make their debut as well.

Rumor: Nintendo Possibly Leaks N64 Classic Coming to NSO

Some eagle-eyed fans identify one or two potential Nintendo Switch Online releases that Nintendo itself may have accidentally leaked.

The next batch of N64 games will join the Switch Online's Expansion Pack tier on Wednesday, December 17. On that day, Rayman 2 and Tonic Trouble will be joining the library, giving platformer fans something fresh to play. But what makes the addition of Rayman 2 to Switch Online so exciting is that it makes a leak about other upcoming N64 games more believable. Basically, Nintendo fans figured out that a Switch Online video featured blurred box art of N64 games that aren't on the service. One of those games was Rayman 2, so one has to imagine that the other "leaked" games are on the way as well.

Leaked Nintendo 64 Games Possibly Coming to Switch Online

  • Donkey Kong 64
  • Glover
  • Super Smash Bros.

Three other Nintendo 64 games were featured as blurred box art in the video, and they are Donkey Kong 64, Glover, and Super Smash Bros. Donkey Kong 64 may potentially be due to the fact that the game was developed by Xbox-owned Rare, but other Rare-made games are readily available on the platform, so maybe it's just a matter of time before DK64 makes its debut. Glover is a third-party game and a new version of it was just released for Switch earlier this year, but that doesn't mean the N64 original can't be added to the Switch Online Expansion Pack.

The original Super Smash Bros. Is one of the few remaining core Nintendo 64 classics that still need to be added to the Switch Online Expansion Pack's suite of Nintendo Classics. While its sequels featured way more content, there is something charming about the original game, and it's a shame that it still hasn't been added to Switch Online. Rayman 2's debut should give fans hope that there is still a chance Super Smash Bros. Will come eventually.

What makes the leak even easier to believe is that Rayman 2 isn't the first game from it to be added to Switch Online. Forsaken 64 was added to Switch Online earlier this year, and it too was part of the leak. Now that two of the leaked games have been added, one has to imagine that the rest will follow suit. Here's hoping nostalgic N64 fans don't have to wait too long to see the other titles added to the list.
