The Nintendo eShop was launched in June 2011 on the Nintendo 3DS before later arriving on the Wii U and Nintendo Switch. The eShop is a digital distribution service where players can buy and download games, software, demos, and more. The Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions of the eShop are set to close on March 27, 2023.
