In the initial chapter of The Talos Principle 2: Road to Elysium, you must solve the seventeen puzzles of Orpheus Ascending. However, there's an additional mystery in this zone that, once solved, grants you the Ancestry achievement. Across the three regions of Orpheus Ascending, you'll discover hidden QR Codes containing wisdom from ancient philosophers. This guide will assist players in finding all twelve QR Codes in The Talos Principle 2's highly anticipated DLC, ensuring you unlock the Ancestry achievement quickly.
The Talos Principle 2 DLC: All ‘Into The Abyss’ Puzzle Solutions (Chapter 3)
The first eight puzzles in the third chapter of Road to Elysium, The Talos Principle 2’s DLC, are essential for the story; here’s how to solve them.
QR Code #1: Yield
The first QR Code is located on the stone statue left of the entrance to the first puzzle. Once decoded, it reveals the message: "There is no greater joy than discovering something that you had never imagined. In that moment, you understand that the world is better than it seems."
QR Code #2: Crossing the River
The second QR Code can be found in the same area as the first one, which contains Puzzles #1 to #4. To locate the second code, examine the wall behind the second puzzle room. After ascending the stairs near the first puzzle, proceed along the narrow path to the right of the Crossing the River area. This path will lead you to an outcropping where the QR Code is located.
QR Code #3: Chain
Players will find the third QR Code on the right side of the exterior of the fifth puzzle, also referred to as Room #5 or Chain. Before entering this room, inspect the wall on the right side, across Room #6. The deciphered message on this QR Code reads, "Something has gone wrong. We are fragmented. This is Incorrect."
QR Code #4: Equilibrium
The fourth QR Code is on the exterior of the sixth puzzle within Chapter One. To find it, follow the narrow path to the right of the entrance to Equilibrium until you reach the opposite side. The message decoded from this QR Code reads, "Never surrender the idea that you could become more than you are right now. There’s always another chance to grow."
QR Code #5: Concatenation
In the rear of the eighth puzzle room in Chapter One, there's an outcropping where you can locate the fifth QR Code. The decoded text reads, "I wish to see the world’s beauty, but there is something limited about this place. It’s not enough."
QR Code #6: Causation Nexus
Before entering the ninth puzzle room, known as the Causation Nexus, inspect the wall on the right side to discover the sixth QR Code. The message on this QR Code reads, "Everything is wrong here. Something is missing."
QR Code #7: Switchboard
You'll find the seventh QR Code on the exterior of the 12th puzzle, also known as the Switchboard. The text decoded from this QR Code reads, "Where is the voice of my creator? Where is the one that we became? Everything is shattered."
QR Code #8: Extension
In the central area of the third puzzle section within the first chapter of The Talos Principle 2’s DLC (where the player must solve puzzles #13 to #16), there's an obelisk. At the base of this obelisk, you'll find the eighth QR Code. Its message reads, “I am only the echo of the one that was me, but I am comforted in knowing that something persists.”
QR Code #9: Datastream
To the left of the fourteenth puzzle in Chapter One, there is an outcropping where you can discover the ninth QR Code. The message encoded on this QR Code reads, “Love isn’t an emotion; it’s the underlying truth of our existence. The emotion is how we respond when we notice the truth.”
QR Code #10: FlowControl
Players will find the tenth QR Code behind the FlowControl puzzle room. To reach it, jump onto the rocks to the left of the puzzle's entrance and follow the cliff ledge to the opposite side. Currently, the text on this QR Code cannot be deciphered, as it appears to be broken.
QR Code #11: Heart of Anubis
After completing the last puzzle in Chapter One of the DLC, take the elevator to the Eye of Anubis, the highest point on the map. Here, you will find a door on the left with floating stones in front of it. Jump onto these floating structures and look behind you to find the eleventh QR Code. Unfortunately, this QR Code appears to be broken and cannot be deciphered at this time.
QR Code #12: Hysteresis
Once you have solved all seventeen puzzles in Orpheus Ascending (Chapter One), you will unlock a new area with three Golden Puzzles. The twelfth QR Code is located on the wall of the first Golden Puzzle in this area, just a few feet from the entrance. The decoded message on this QR Code reads, “I never knew how much beauty was in people. Every person contains a world.”
