The late Minecraft content creator Technoblade has officially reached 20 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. This incredible milestone comes nearly three years after his death, which shocked and saddened the Minecraft community at the time.
Also known as Alex to his family and friends, Technoblade was a faceless creator known for his entertaining Minecraft videos on YouTube, where he often accomplished challenges while using a pig avatar that wears a golden crown. He also collaborated with popular creators like Dream, MrBeast, and other Minecraft content creators, which contributed to his skyrocketing career at the time. Following Technoblade's death in 2022, his father, Technodad, took over his YouTube channel, which continues to upload some of the late creator's best Minecraft moments from time to time.
Minecraft's Vibrant Visuals Update Makes Neat Change to The End Dimension
Minecraft's upcoming Vibrant Visuals completely overhauls the game's lighting and visuals, but it also adds an interesting new touch to the End.
On May 25, 2025, two videos were uploaded to Technoblade's YouTube channel, which were a series of spliced videos from the creator's archive and a clip of A Minecraft Movie's Technoblade tribute, asking viewers to subscribe. The goal was to reach 20 million YouTube subscribers before the creator's birthday on June 1, and Technoblade's fans did not disappoint, because the YouTube channel now has over 20.2 million.

In the comment sections of the YouTube videos, many of Technoblade's fans sent their congratulations and also thanked Technodad for keeping the channel updated with the creator's pre-recorded videos. Many also quoted Technoblade's iconic catchphrase, "Technoblade never dies," in reference to the fact that his Minecraft legacy will always be remembered.
Apart from an Easter egg cameo in A Minecraft Movie, developer Mojang paid homage to Technoblade by adding the iconic pig with a crown to the launcher of the Minecraft Java edition. Members of the Hypixel Network also put up a statue on their server in honor of Technoblade, where players can leave their messages to pay their respects to the late creator.
Technoblade's legacy lives on through fans who were inspired to play Minecraft because of him. This doesn't just start and end with consuming content uploaded to his YouTube channel, but also extends to charitable projects. In October 2022, just a few months after the Minecraft creator passed, the community, including streamers Dream and TommyInnit, raised $500,000 for cancer research in honor of Technoblade. The sum was donated to the Sarcoma Foundation of America, which is a non-profit organization that Technoblade supported to raise awareness about sarcoma and fund its research to help patients.

Minecraft is a game made up of blocks, creatures, and community. You can survive the night or build a work of art – the choice is all yours. But if the thought of exploring a vast new world all on your own feels overwhelming, then fear not!
Minecraft has no set goal and can be played however you’d like! This is why it’s sometimes called a “sandbox game” – there are lots of things for you to do, and lots of ways that you can play. If you like being creative, then you can use the blocks to build things from your imagination. If you’re feeling brave, you can explore the world and face daring challenges. Blocks can be broken, crafted, placed to reshape the landscape, or used to build fantastical creations.
Creatures can be battled or befriended, depending on how you play. The world of Minecraft allows for epic adventures, quiet meditations, and everything in between. You can even share your creations with other players, or play in community worlds!
