Long-time Pokemon fans have dreamed of an MMO experience that allows players to explore every region while accessing all of the current Pokemon. Unfortunately, the closest hardcore fans have gotten to an MMO is Pokemon GO which lets players experience certain features found in MMOs, like raiding with other players to take down powerful Pokemon or battling other trainers. And while there are a few unofficial Pokemon MMOs like Pokemon Revolution Online and PokeMMO, these always fall short as they're limited in the Pokemon they can use.

The good news is that there's a "Pokemon clone" that comes close to what all Pokemon fans want in terms of online play, and that game is Temtem. In Temtem, players can explore unique islands, catch Temtem, and interact with other players. Another aspect long-time Pokemon fans will enjoy is battling Dojos which closely resemble Gyms, except that some Dojos mix in puzzle-like gameplay. The Properton Dojo is one Dojo that can be tricky to handle at first, but with the proper guidance can be completed easily.

Complete First Memory Puzzle & Beat Arthur

Temtem Properton Dojo First Steps

Players familiar with the Temtem Dojo formula will know they must beat several puzzles before reaching the Dojo Master. And while the pathway to reaching the Dojo Master is quite straightforward, players will need to complete several memory puzzles to reach the end. Players must stand on any of the tiles with a symbol to proceed to the next area, and failing to stand on the right one before the timer runs out will force the player to start over.

The first memory puzzle only requires the player to memorize one symbol, so it shouldn't be too difficult to pass. Once completed, players will walk down a pathway until they reach Arthur, the first of four Tamers found in this Dojo, similar to the Nanga Dojo.

As players will notice, Arthur's Temtems are dual-type, leaning toward the Mental type. Electric-type Temtems like Raignet, Volgon, and Nessla are effective counters against Mental-type Temtems, so players should ensure their main team has at least one or two of them.

Complete Second Memory Puzzle & Beat Nikki And Chrissy

Temtem Properton Dojo Second Puzzle Area

After beating Arthur, players must continue down the path to reach the Second Memory Puzzle. The rules are the same, except players must memorize two different symbols to pass on to the next area. Players must move to the following symbol as soon as the timer ends and not before, or they'll need to restart this puzzle again. Once completed, players must face Nikki and Chrissy, both of which have a set of two Temtems.

Nikki and Chrissy have the lowest-leveled Temtems in the Properton Dojo, so players can expect this Tamer battle to be easy. But, players must ensure they have Crystal-type Temtems like Occulura or Waspeen since these Tamers have Temtem weak against them. After beating Nikki and Chrissy players can loot an Awakener, which will help if a rival Tamer uses a sleep-based attack.

Complete Third Memory Puzzle & Beat Jason

Temtem Properton Dojo Third Puzzle

The Third memory puzzle is a little more complicated than the previous ones since players need to memorize four symbols to move on to the next area. Players who struggle to remember all four symbols can wait for other players to join, making it much easier. Once completed, players must battle Jason, which only has two Temtem.

Despite only having two Temtem, Jason has the highest level Temtem in the entire Dojo, even higher than the Dojo Master, so players must plan their strategy. Maoala, Jason's highest-level Temtem, has one of the highest base attacks, so players should focus on taking it down first. In contrast, Pocus excels in putting other Temtems to sleep, which is where the Awakener will come in handy. Players should bring a strong Digital-type Temtem (Halzhi, Chubee, or Tuwire) and try to beat Maoala as quickly as possible. Once defeated, players will be able to loot TC038: 5PPEH, which is a powerful Technique that inflicts Doom.

Complete Fourth Memory Puzzle & Beat Suzie

Temtem Properton Dojo Fourth Puzzle

The difficulty continues to rise, and now players will need to memorize five symbols to reach the next puzzle and Tamer. Once again, players having trouble memorizing the puzzle can opt to wait to do it with another player(s). The more players participating in the puzzle, the easier it'll be to complete it, as long as someone remembers the symbol's location. Once completed, players will need to face the final Tamer, Suzie, which can prove challenging to beat since they have five Temtems at their disposal.

Suzie has a well-balanced Temtem team but heavily focuses on Nature-type Temtem. So, players will want to bring a Fire-type Temtem to counter Suzie's Nature-type Temtem. But Suzie also has a Water-type Temtem, so players should be ready to switch out their Temtem to avoid getting KO'ed. Once defeated, players can loot a Power Revive, which revives a Temtem and increases its Stamina to 100%.

Final Memory Puzzle & Beating Percival

Final Memory Puzzle Properton Dojo Temtem

The final memory puzzle forces players to memorize seven symbols before allowing them to pass to the Dojo Master. The best method of completing this memory puzzle is to draw a 5x5 grid and mark each box with a symbol. But, of course, players will need to be quick to complete it, as each symbol only stays up for 2 seconds. Additionally, this part of the puzzle usually has more players than the previous ones, meaning players could follow the steps of their fellow Tamers to complete the puzzle. Once completed, players can finally face Percival, the Dojo Master.

Percival makes lots of use of Status Effects like Burn and Sleep, so players will want to ensure they have enough items (or abilities) that can counter them. The biggest threat in this battle is Vental's DoubleScreen item which reduces damage taken from dual-type Temtem. Additionally, Minothor has a Taser item equipped which causes a target Temtem to get the Burn status effect for one turn after being hit by an Electric move.

Once those two are out, the player should have an easy battle. Players can rematch Percival once they complete the main story, but the Temtem they'll face changes every time but beating him again yields a decent amount of money.

Temtem is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
