The latest example testifying to the incredible potential of Oblivion Remastered's character customization comes from Reddit users Flannel_Devil and Imaginary_Priority_1, both of whom managed to recreate the Darth Kermit meme—sometimes called "Sith Kermit"—in the game. Flannel_Devil was the first to share their achievement, which emerged on the front page of the r/Oblivion subreddit after amassing nearly 10,000 upvotes in late April 2025. Reacting to their design, Imaginary_Priority_1 then revealed they had the same idea and were just as successful in realizing it.

Both players had the same basic approach to recreating the popular Darth Kermit meme: they started with the Argonian race, tweaked its skin tones to be as close as possible to Kermit the Frog, then donned the Black Hand Robe at the first opportunity. The attire itself is a reward for progressing through the Dark Brotherhood questline, which many Oblivion fans still consider to be among the most memorable parts of the entire game.

These achievements are just the latest in a long string of examples of Oblivion Remastered players getting immensely creative with the game's character customization. Some inventive fans have even tried designing horrific monsters in Oblivion Remastered, with the game itself being all too happy to oblige.

This ongoing trend serves as compelling evidence for the argument that Oblivion—remastered or not—truly has the most versatile character creator out of all Bethesda games. While the freedom it offers comes with some downsides, like making it super easy to get uncanny-looking characters, the overall package still seems to be incredibly popular. The community's newly reaffirmed affinity for Oblivion's character creator could hence even prove significant enough to influence the character customization options in The Elder Scrolls 6, which Bethesda is currently developing.
