The Apothecary Diaries season two is only a few weeks away from release. Recently, the official accounts with the anime confirmed that Maomao will be returning to screens on January 10th, 2025. It might have taken them a long time, but fans finally know when they can tune in.

As the release draws near, the Apothecary Diaries anime has disclosed a new visual to amp up the excitement of the fans further. The visual only has two characters: Jinshi and Maomao, who are the two main leads. It shows Maomao holding a broom as she watches the leaves fall. Meanwhile, Jinshi puts one of the orange leaves on her head.

The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 Cast & Staff

The Apothecary Diaries' season two will see the talented Maomao continue her journey after the reveals in the first season of the anime. It will also cover the dynamic between Jinshi and Maomao. Since The Apothecary Diaries is not an action-oriented anime, the majority of the main cast will make a return for the next season.

Akira Kosaki, Kevin Penkin, and Arisa Okehazama are working on music for the new season. Finally, Hata Shouji is the sound director.

The Apothecary Diaries is based on Natsu Hyuga's light novel series. It started serializing on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2011. After it gained popularity, Shufunotomo acquired it. The Apothecary Diaries has received two manga adaptations. Overall, the series has sold over 38 million copies, making it one of the best-selling manga of the last decade.

Due to its popularity, it was picked up for an anime adaptation in 2023. The first season of the anime premiered in October 2023, and it ran until March 2024. The first season consisted of 24 episodes.
