While all the good series are carrying 2025, there are some anime adaptations that would be better off forgotten. The Beginning After the End was a heavily anticipated anime adaptation that failed at every step, and many would consider it the most disappointing anime of the year 2025. The Beginning After the End has one of the worst ratings on MAL, and possibly the worst of 2025, with a score of 6.18.

The Beginning After the End was highly anticipated for 2025. This anime is an adaptation of a webtoon, which was in turn adapted from a popular web novel. However, fans of The Beginning After the End have only known disappointment after the airing of the first episode of this series. The anime for The Beginning After the End aired earlier this year from April to June, and the quality has proven to be some of the worst in 2025. The quality of the anime, made by studio A-Cat, is the main reason this anime is so hated. After all, the story itself had a lot of potential.

The story itself is quite exciting. Despite the abysmally low anime quality, the series was still able to build up a fandom, and a second season is already confirmed, which speaks volumes about the story itself. Whether the studio can redeem itself or not with a new season is to be seen, but fans should definitely keep their expectations low.

Out of all the 2025 series, The Beginning After the End received the worst rating on MyAnimeList, with a disappointing score of 6.18. This puts The Beginning After the End at rank 9189 on the platform, which is quite a pathetic ranking.

The Beginning After the End was definitely a disappointment, but 2025, in general, was quite a good year for anime. The highest-rated anime of 2025 was none other than The Apothecary Diaries Season 2. The Apothecary Diaries has been taking over establishing its dominance, quickly becoming one of the most iconic series of the last few years.

One also can’t forget Solo Leveling Season 2. While the series has its issues, it has some incredible battles that left fans asking for more and broke all kinds of records while airing its second season. And of course, 2025 also saw the release of Takopi’s Original Sin—a short but incredible anime that captivated viewers with its darker themes.

The Beginning After The End dropped officially in Spring 2025 and is available to stream on Crunchyroll. The anime series had 12 episodes for the fans to enjoy. Despite a disappointing reception, The Beginning After The End already has a Season 2 confirmed. Fans of the show are hopeful for an improvement when it does come out. For now, no release date for The Beginning After The End Season 2 has been made known.

Meanwhile, The Apothecary Diaries has two seasons out at the moment, both of which are available for the fans to watch on Crunchyroll. A sequel to Season 2 has also been confirmed.

Solo Leveling, on the other hand, has two seasons out right now, one with 12 episodes, and the other with 13, for a combined episode count of 25 episodes available to watch right now. The series can be streamed on Crunchyroll for fans to enjoy while awaiting any more news concerning the third season.
