This article contains spoilers from Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle.

When it comes to the world of anime, fans know very well that the big three have a special place in the hearts of the fans, and that'll always be the case. The big three anime consist of Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach and they certainly defined an era. While not equally as popular, all of them inspired people all over the world and gave them immense joy over the years. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that the role they played in making a one mainstream like it is today is crucial and without them, anime wouldn't be what it is today.

That said, as they laid the blueprint, they also set up upcoming series to do bigger things that they themselves couldn't achieve. In the department of movies, specifically, Demon Slayer, which manga fans consider to be a new-gen Shonen anime, has officially surpassed the big three anime. In fact, even their biggest movie successes put together don't even come close to what Demon Slayer has achieved over the years with Mugen Train and Infinity Castle.

  • Demon Slayer has two of the biggest anime movies

First things first, the Big Three of anime certainly have a grip on most anime fans like no other. Fans know very well that in terms of quality and storytelling, it is very hard to beat these series. This is especially true for stories such as One Piece, which is widely considered to be the greatest manga of all time. But, when it comes to anime and movies, things are very different. Demon Slayer is the absolute king when it comes to an animated adaptation, and that's all thanks to its movies.

As stated earlier, none of the big three come even remotely close to Demon Slayer when it comes to anime movie success. Demon Slayer’s Mugen Train held the record for the most successful anime movie in Japan and worldwide for quite a long time, and now, this very record has been beaten by Demon Slayer’s own movie, Infinity Castle, which was released earlier this year.

No Big 3 Movie Can Catch Up To Demon Slayer

The Best Of Demon Slayer Has Yet To Come

No One Piece, Naruto, or Bleach movie has or will ever come close to the numbers that Demon Slayer has managed to pull. Yet, what's even more shocking is that it is more than likely that Demon Slayer's record that was set this year is highly likely to be shattered by its own movies. Infinity Castle still has two more parts coming up, with Infinity Castle Part 2 lined up for 2027, if rumors are to be believed, while Part 3 will drop in 2029.

Regardless of when they drop, it can be said with absolute certainty that these two movies will go on to surpass Infinity Castle Part 1 and set even bigger records, becoming a global phenomenon in the process. Fans might not like to admit it, but the Big Three don't even come close to Demon Slayer when it comes to successful anime movies, and that'll never change.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 is out in theatres now. Fans who don't want to wait for the movies to drop can check the manga out on Manga Plus. Meanwhile, for the anime, the series currently has 4 anime seasons. These anime seasons can all be found on Crunchyroll. The remaining series will, however, be animated into movies, and fans will have to wait for their theatrical release to watch them, depending on their country
