Rebel Wolves was founded in 2022 by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, a former Witcher 3 director and head of production for Cyberpunk 2077 at CD Projekt Red. In January 2025, The Blood of Dawnwalker was revealed via an impressive cinematic trailer, with audiences quickly impressed by the graphical prowess and dark fantasy world being created in the studio's debut title. On June 21, a special The Blood of Dawnwalker showcase will be held on Twitch at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET. The stream promises to show at least 15 minutes of gameplay, while the developers will also share more about the title's combat systems, magic, and traversal. The Blood of Dawnwalker showed off early gameplay in a new trailer during the Xbox Games Showcase earlier this month, but this will be the most in-depth peek at the title's mechanics so far. During Summer Game Fest, it was officially announced that the game would be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in 2026.

The Blood of Dawnwalker Gameplay Reveal Stream Date and Time

According to the game's narrative director, Jakub Szamalek, The Blood of Dawnwalker will balance story with exploration, giving players complete freedom to explore the world as they see fit while also containing a compelling narrative. The game will follow Coen, a human-vampire hybrid known as a Dawnwalker, as he chooses to either embrace his monstrous side or fight for his humanity in a dark world inspired by 14th-century Europe.

The Blood of Dawnwalker wasn't the only highly anticipated title shown during the Xbox Games Showcase. Clockwork Revolution, an upcoming steampunk action title, stole the show for many, featuring bizarre characters and promising players the ability to travel through time. Additionally, fans were surprised to see Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, a prequel to A Plague Tale: Requiem.
