- Further details on Season 4, such as the upcoming Battle Pass and weapons, will be revealed in the coming weeks.
The Finals developer Embark Studios has pulled back the curtain on Season 4, revealing a new career sponsor feature that will shake up the high-octane shooter in a major way. The next season of The Finals, which is set to release on September 26, will also introduce a new map and plenty of vibrant cosmetic items for players to get their hands on.
Although Embark Studios continues to release fresh content updates for The Finals on a regular basis, it's no secret that the fast-paced first-person shooter is struggling in terms of concurrent players. Shortly after its release in 2023, The Finals' player count dropped drastically. Then, just a few months later, Embark's parent company Nexon said in a business update that the title was performing "lower than expected." While The Finals' player base might not be as large as its competitors, its dedicated community remains eager to jump into the game's next season.
After a successful third season of The Finals was released back in June, Embark is once again looking to bring some fresh content to the fictional game show with Season 4 on September 26. In a new blog post released on September 12, Embark confirmed that Season 4 will not only introduce a brand-new map and an improved tutorial, but would also see the return of ranked tournaments and a new career sponsor feature.
The Finals Introduces Big Gameplay Twist in Season 4
Although details on any new weapons and gadgets for The Finals Season 4 are yet to be revealed, fans have been ecstatic at the reveal of the new career sponsor feature. According to Embark, Season 4 will give players the opportunity to sign up and represent one of the three generous sponsors for the new season. Player rewards for Season 4 will be determined by the selected sponsor, so it's vital that players choose carefully. Embark has also made it clear that players will not be able to change their decision once a sponsor has been selected.
Season 4 will also introduce Fortune Stadium, a brand-new map that continues the theme of the aforementioned sponsors with three designated sectors dedicated to each of the generous benefactors. But for fans solely focused on putting their skills to the test, ranked tournaments will finally be making a return in the upcoming season. Embark has also encouraged fans to stay tuned as details on The Finals' new Battle Pass, weapons, cosmetic items, and more will be revealed in the build-up to Season 4.
