With the Void Chaser update, The First Descendant added a host of Anti-Void Shield and Arche Barrier Vulguses to the Void Vessel Investigation Operation. These elite enemies require more than just firepower to take out. In this situation, Voltia, an Ultimate Beam Rifle with a passive to chain damage through shields and barriers, is the ideal weapon.
The First Descendant: Best Gley Build Guide
Don't try and stop her. Here's the best Gley build, featuring Modules, weapons, Reactors, and more.
By equipping Voltia and optimizing it with the right modules, you can easily clear most of the Void Vessel content. While its power lies in barrier-busting, you can also try versatile builds for early progression or even Void Intercept battles. So, here's all the best Voltia builds for The First Descendant.
What is Voltia in The First Descendant?
Voltia is a Ultimate Beam Rifle obtained from the Season 2 Battle Pass (Levels 1/17/33/57/73). Every five shots (base), it discharges a Chain Current that arcs to nearby targets, dealing bonus damage to Anti-Void Shields and Arche Barriers. While active, all Voltia shots penetrate and damage these defenses.
Though its beam DPS trails some weapons in open combat, Voltia excels in Void Vessel and barrier-heavy encounters. Here's a closer look at each of its stats for you to get a better idea of its capabilities:

Best Voltia Build for Void Intercept Battles

|
Action and Reaction |
Essential for most Beam Rifles. Increases stats by +15% Firearm ATK, +5% Recoil. |

Expand Weapon Charge |
A must-have module for Voltia. Increases Mag size by +12%. |
Void Intercept bosses have much bigger HP pools and that too sometimes with shields, so you'll have to lean into pure barrier penetration and crit in order to get value out of Voltia. Try to max your Firearm ATK and crit stats with Better Insight/Better Concentration, then add raw DPS with Charge Amplification. Large magazines help to trigger Chain Current more often, making short work of colossi defenses.
