Where To Farm Murky Energy Residue?

Murky Energy Residue can be farmed in only two missions in the Sterile Lands Region of The First Descendant. Here are both of the locations, and how much energy residue you can expect to get from clearing these missions:

  1. The Forgottense (Restricted Zone, Sterile Land): Located in the southeast corner of Sterile Land, this mission is one of the top spots for farming Murky Energy Residue. You'll encounter multiple Elite Vulgus enemies that drop up to 15 Murky Energy Residues per run. The Forgottense is a quick and efficient farming location, especially when you're using a Descendant like Bunny.
  2. Unknown Laboratory (Classified Area, Sterile Land): This is another mission in the northwest corner of Sterile Land, that has a similar yield of Murky Energy Residue as The Forgottense. Here, you’ll encounter Vulguses that can drop around 10 or more residues per run.

You can use fast travel between Unknown Laboratory and The Forgottense to maximize your farming efficiency, letting you farm up to 25-40 Murky Energy Residue in a complete run.
