Now that you know where you can find Polyatomic Ion Particles, you should know which of these locations is best for farming this material. Based on all the missions and outpost locations in the Fortress Region, here are two of the best locations to farm these particles:

  • Command Relay Mission in Frozen Valley: This mission is ideal for farming Polyatomic Ion Particles. It's easy to complete, and you can do it solo as well. Moreover, two elite Vulgus enemies spawn during the mission, providing more Polyatomic Ion Particles. You can collect over 20 particles in a single clear, making it an efficient farming spot for both weapons and reactor materials.
  • Vuglus Strategic Outpost Near Frozen Valley: Located conveniently close to the Command Relay Mission, this outpost is another alternative for farming Polyatomic Ion Particles. You can even switch between the Command Relay and the Vuglus Strategic Outpost, to farm Polyatomic Ion Particles from both locations with minimal downtime.

Both of the above missions require you to be at a high level, and demand high-level gear. If you're having a hard time completing them, you can start by clearing the High-Thermal Source Detected Zone story mission. You can get 7–10 particles every run from there.
