The First Descendant has a lot of different consumables for players to be aware of. These can be used for researching important items that can affect just how powerful players will be able to become.

One of the items players will find are Code Analyzers, but these will only be of use while they are playing through the Sterile Land on Normal. When players start playing this location on Hard, they will notice they may be getting items that now use the name Code Breakers.

How To Farm Code Breakers

Just like Code Analyzers, Code Breakers will drop from defeated enemies while playing through the Sterile Land and Fortress on Hard. This means if players wish to farm this item, they will need to optimize the number of enemies they can defeat in the shortest amount of time. This means that players should prioritize the Battlefield Mission at the Strerile Land called Anticipated Ambush Point. This will give them an ample number of enemies to mow down and repeat.

Code Breakers will come in three forms. Code Breakers, Precision Code Breakers, Ultra-Precision Code Breakers. All of them will be obtained in the same way, but will drop at different frequencies.

Just like how Code Analyzers are used to open up Encrypted Vaults on Normal, Code Breakers will be used to open up these vaults while playing the game on Hard. If you still have a large cache of Code Analyzers on hand, you will need to change the game back to Normal to use them.

A Code Breaker that is capable of decrypting high-security Encrypted Vaults. It can only be used on Encrypted Vaults in Hard Difficulty fields.

It is highly recommended that you use all of your Code Analyzers first, as this will be great practice, and successful attempts will allow you to complete the Magister’s Hidden Assets Mission. In order to find these Encrypted Vaults, players will need to use their scanner. When a player uses a scanner, it will make a specific sound. However, when they are facing the direction of an Encrypted Vault, the sound of the scanner will be noticeably different.

Players will need to rely on this sound to help lead them to where they may find the Encrypted Vault. Players should never try to find one of these vaults unless they have an ample amount of Code Breakers, as it can take several attempts to open, and if they run out, they will need to travel back to Anticipated Ambush Point to farm more.

The higher the rarity of the Code Breaker being used, the harder the Encrypted Vault will be to open.
