When Do You Play As Abby in The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered?

Playing as Abby in Last of Us Part 2 Remastered

Abby is central to the plot for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, but players will have to wait a bit before playing as her. She is available during the sixth act, called "Seattle Day 1," as players experience the events of the game through her perspective.

Since each act is divided into smaller chapters, Abby isn't available for almost half of the game's runtime. This means players will have to play the game for roughly 10–12 hours before they start playing as Abby. Why does it take so long to take control of the second playable character in the game? Well, it was important to establish her character with players, from the eyes of Ellie.

Once she's made out to be a proper villain of the story, players shift to her POV. This allows players to experience her side of the story, her motivations, and what drives her. Not everyone will be excited to play as someone who's killed a beloved character, but that doesn't change the fact that her story may just be as interesting as Ellie's.

All the Weapons Abby Can Use

All Weapons Abby can Use in Last of Us Part 2 Remastered

Since Abby is more trained and proficient at combat than Ellie, she's also quite resourceful. Abby has a range of unique weapons that she can use, excluding her powerful fists. Here's a list of weapons that players will be able to use against enemies when playing as Abby in The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered.

  • Military Pistol
  • Semi-Automatic Rifle
  • Hunting Pistol
  • Double-Barrel Shotgun
  • Crossbow
  • Flamethrower

In addition to these weapons, Abby's punches do more damage to the enemies in the game and can even knock them back.
