The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be the next entry in the Zelda series, and this time, players will be controlling the one and only Princess Zelda. Echoes of Wisdom launches on September 26, 2024, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, and its graphic style matches the Link's Awakening remake available on the same platform.
While the game's launch date is relatively close, not much has yet been revealed about it. However, fans are undoubtedly intrigued by Echoes of Wisdom, and this curiosity only went up with the release of a near-six-minute overview trailer, which went into detail on some of the game's never-seen-before mechanics as well as its overworld.
1 Locations & People
Four Regions to Explore
The overview trailer showed fans the four different regions that they'll be able to explore in Echoes of Wisdom: Gerudo Desert, Jabul Water, Eldin Volcano, and Faron Wetlands. Each region has its own environment and quirks, and there gamers will get to know local tribes, fight all sorts of enemies, and find brand-new echoes to create.
Here is what players will be able to find in each of the regions in Echoes of Wisdom:

2 Horse Riding
Ride on a Four-Legged Companion
Just like in several Zelda games, players can ride horses in Echoes of Wisdom. The trailer hints that players will be able to call a nearby horse companion, and if they have access to the carrot echo, it will come regardless of its previous position on the map - similarly to Link's horses if they had Ancient Horse Gear equipped in Breath of the Wild.
It seems that Zelda will be able to create echoes from most objects as long as she finds them. If so, gamers should make sure that they create a carrot echo as soon as possible so they can always call their trusty steed when needed.
3 Travel Waypoints
Useful Fast Travel Portals
Horses aren't the only way to get around the map in Echoes of Wisdom; players will be happy to know that they can quickly wrap to any Waypoint that they've previously interacted with in the game. There will be Travel Waypoints scattered all over Hyrule, and it'll make it much easier and faster to travel across the overworld.
4 Bonuses and Resistances
Improve Stats with Smoothies and Accessories
Players will be able to improve Zelda's stats and receive bonuses if they equip special acessories and clothes, or drink smoothies, which can be made by talking to a Business Scrub.
It seems that Zelda will be able to collect ingredients on her travels and then turn them into delicious smoothies if she encounters a Business Scrub. She can also find or purchase items with unique abilities, which will facilitate her journey and allow her to access certain rooms and areas.
5 Bind Ability
Simple Yet Powerful
Bind is similar to Breath of the Wild's Magnesis, except it works on all sorts of objects as well as enemies - not just metal objects. However, objects and enemies affected by Bind will only move as Zelda moves, she won't be able to control their position while stationery.
This ability will likely be crucial to solving some of the puzzles in Echoes of Wisdom as well as taking down some tougher enemies that gamers might come across.
6 Reverse Bond Ability
Move As the World Around You Moves
Reverse Bond is another ability that Zelda will be able to use in Echoes of Wisdom. Instead of moving objects alongside her trajectory like Bind, Zelda will move besides a target objects or creature. This makes it possible for Zelda to get to previously unreachable locations, whether she connects with a distant platform, a flying bird, or a speedy animal.
