With The Witcher and The Lord of the Rings boasting massive fan bases, it was only a matter of time before an artist sought to bring them together. Fortunately, their Witcher and Lord of the Rings crossover piece is incredible, as it is full of detail and interesting interactions.

This is hardly the first time that fans have wanted to see the two properties together, as an edit last year combined The Lord of the Rings with The Witcher Netflix series. This time around, however, an artist is pulling from a different Witcher adaptation. Alongside the iconic Lord of the Rings movies, they were clearly inspired by CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. All the characters look incredible, and fans of both franchises should get a kick out of the artwork.

The piece was posted to Reddit by TheBurningSoda, but it was made by a talented artist named Andy Aslamov. The piece sees everyone hanging out inside of a pub, and there are plenty of pairings to pick up on. In the center of the image are Geralt of Rivia and Aragorn, with the two about to arm wrestle. This fun competition caused many commenters to wonder who would win if the pair faced off, though most mseem to be betting on Geralt due to his Witcher mutations. Viewers also feel like Aragorn would be respectful no matter the outcome.

On the far end of the table, Gimli can be seen interacting with Zoltan, with the two dwarfs having a laugh at the sight of their comrades facing off. Pippin seems infatuated with Geralt, while Merry is cheering Aragorn on. Funnily enough, Dandelion seems to be giving the king some tips on how to beat his friend, whispering into his ear. Gandalf and Triss Merigold are both watching the battle closely, while Boromir seems to be recreating the “one does not simply” meme in his conversation with Yennefer.

One of the coolest things about piece is that things are happening in the pub beyond this playful exchange. In the background, Ciri can be seen talking to Legolas, with the pair likely impressing each other with their stories about dimension-hopping and Oliphaunt-toppling. Olgierd and Elrond can be seen talking in another fitting exchange, likely discussing their long lives. Best of all, Frodo can be seen showing off a Witcher medallion to Sam, highlighting the bond between the two Hobbits.

With this Lord of the Rings and Witcher fan art featuring so many characters, and the art itself being very well-drawn, it would be hard for anyone to not find something to appreciate about it. While an official crossover between the properties will likely never come, fan content like this provides a great idea of what it would be like if The Lord of the Rings and The Witcher characters met up.
