Video games have become a prominent form of media over the decades, so much so that characters from gaming have become as iconic and beloved as well-known characters from movies, television, and animation. Because of the huge influence that video games have had, it’s not a surprise that there are plenty of video game characters reimagined as Sims in The Sims 4 gallery.

The Sims 4: Best Movie & TV Show Characters In The Gallery

The Sims 4 gallery is home to a vast array of recognizable figures. Here are some of the best TV and movie characters that players can check out.

The Sims is a behemoth of a video game series, and there are plenty of characters from all sorts of other game franchises to choose from in the gallery. With this in mind, this list aims to show fans some of the best video game characters available in The Sims 4 gallery.

10 Hanzo Shimada

Created by reksewybhtaed

  • From the Overwatch series
  • Expansions required: Snowy Escape, Eco Lifestyle, Discover University, Get Famous, and City Living
  • Game Packs required: Dream Home Decorator, Parenthood and Dine Out
  • Stuff Packs required: Nifty Knitting Stuff

There are various Overwatch characters in The Sims 4 gallery, but our pick for this list goes to a recreation of archer Hanzo by Simmer reksewybhtaed. This Sim perfectly captures the cartoonish character design from the Overwatch series, while also being an accurate recreation of Hanzo’s facial features.

Hanzo’s hairstyle and clothes are also well picked here, especially his shaved undercut hair. Even the facial hair is fantastically chosen. For those looking to add an Overwatch character to their Sims game, this Hanzo is a great choice.

9 Pikachu

Created by simsmily

  • From the Pokemon series
  • Expansion Packs required: Cats & Dogs

There are various versions of Pikachu in the gallery, but the one that makes it onto our list is one of the more popular ones with dozens of downloads. This Pikachu uses a cat as the model, with the markings painted on via the Create-a-Pet system in The Sims 4. Simmer simsmily has perfectly recreated Pikachu’s markings, such as the red circular cheeks, black tips on the pointed ears, and brown stripes on the back.

Even for players who would prefer a dog Pikachu rather than a cat Pikachu, this is a super cute choice for those looking to add a Pokemon pet to their Sims household.

8 Geralt of Rivia

Created by MagicBlueDragon

  • From The Witcher series
  • Expansion Packs required: Island Living, Get Famous, Cats & Dogs, City Living, Get Together, and Get To Work.
  • Game Packs required: Vampires, Spa Day and Outdoor Retreat

There is a fair amount of Geralt of Rivia recreations in The Sims 4 gallery, though a lot of them are based on Henry Cavill’s take on the character from The Witcher Netflix show. Seeing as this is a list of the best video game characters in the gallery, our choice goes to this excellent take on the game version of Geralt from The Witcher series by Simmer MagicBlueDragon.

As well as the facial scars, this Sim also has Geralt’s piercing yellow eyes and his iconic, long white hair. His features are well-made too, such as his broad nose and thick eyebrows. The great thing about this Sim is that he wears an armor set that isn’t too far from the armor that he can wear in the game (although he doesn’t don llama-themed armor in the game, unfortunately).

7 Lara Croft

Created by ScrappySim195

  • From the Tomb Raider series
  • Expansions required: Get Together
  • Game Packs required: Spa Day and Outdoor Retreat
  • Stuff Packs required: Vintage Glamour Stuff

Lara Croft is one of the most iconic characters in gaming, so of course, there are tons of versions of her in the gallery. From the Lara in Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider films to versions of her in the 2013 reboot, there is a wide range of Lara Croft’s to pick from. The choice for this list has to go to a recreation of the legendary classic Lara from the original Tomb Raider PlayStation 1 games. This classic Lara Sim- created by ScrappySim195- recreates her iconic outfit as perfectly as it’s possible to be.

Her turquoise vest top, shorts, brown boots, and leather gloves are all included here. She even has her long, brown braid and her distinctive makeup style, with dark red lips and smoky eyes that somehow manage to maintain their integrity despite all the adventuring. This version of Lara Croft is one of many in The Sims 4 gallery, but she is a must for those who want to download a classic, PlayStation 1 take on the character.

6 Max Caulfield, Chloe Price, and Rachel Amber

Created by SimplyAnjuta

  • From the Life Is Strange series
  • Expansions required: City Living and Get To Work
  • Game Packs required: Dine Out
  • Stuff Packs required: Movie Hangout Stuff

The Life is Strange series has had multiple games that have featured a vast cast of characters. With this Sim family, gamers get three of the main Life is Strange characters for the price of one. Created by SimplyAnjuta, this Sim family includes protagonist Max Caulfield, fan-favorite Chloe Price, and Chloe’s close friend Rachel Amber.

These Sims make for a great way for those still traumatized by the events of the first Life is Strange game to pretend that everything is fine and that Max, Chloe, and Rachel live happily ever after as one big happy family.

5 Joel Miller

Created by plzinmyfrontyard

  • From The Last of Us series
  • Expansions required: Snowy Escape, Discover University, Seasons, Cats & Dogs, and Get To Work
  • Game Packs required: Werewolves, Spa Day, Outdoor Retreat, and Dream Home Decorator
  • Stuff Packs required: Vintage Glamour Stuff, Movie Hangout Stuff, Cool Kitchen Stuff, and Perfect Patio Stuff
  • Kits Required: Incheon Arrivals Kit

When The Last of Us was released in 2013, it quickly became one of the best and most well-known PlayStation titles of the decade. It’s a fantastic game with memorable moments and characters that gamer's formed strong connections with. Protagonist and player character Joel is one of the two major The Last of Us characters that had a particularly profound impact on the gaming industry.

This version of Joel by Simmer plzinmyfrontyard is one of the best in the gallery. His features are well-made excellently, especially the graying hair and beard, forehead wrinkles, and eyebags. Joel is a perpetually tired character, seeing as how difficult it is to survive in the universe of The Last of Us. These little details make all the more difference to the accuracy of the character.

4 Ellie Williams

Created by Noctunyx

  • From The Last of Us series
  • Packs required: Holiday Celebration Stuff Pack (free)

While we are on the subject of The Last of Us, Ellie is a young girl in the first game who acts as a deuteragonist alongside Joel. The game revolves around the bonds they build as Joel embarks on a special mission to transport Ellie across the country, touching on themes such as family, loss, and what people are willing to do to survive and protect those they love.

Best Sims 4 Careers That Make The Most Money

Although you can play The Sims 4 using cheats to increase money or skills, it takes away some of the realistic and rewarding elements of the game.

This Sim version of Ellie by Noctunyx is based on her older design from The Last of Us: Part Two, when she is 19 years old. The Sim captures her features brilliantly, including her abundance of freckles and green eyes. Noctunyx has also included Ellie’s arm tattoo, which is an important part of her character.

The great thing about this Sim is that players don’t need to own any of the expansions to download her completely. All that is needed is the Holiday Celebration pack, which is free.

3 Princess Zelda

Created by ScrappySim195

  • From The Legend of Zelda series
  • Expansions required: Get Together and Get To Work
  • Game Packs required: Spa Day
  • Stuff Packs required: Spooky Stuff, Cool Kitchen Stuff and Luxury Party Stuff

Princess Zelda is the titular character from The Legend of Zelda series. Despite the series donning her name, green-hatted, pot-smashing Link is usually the protagonist and playable character. Nevertheless, it is Princess Zelda who makes it onto our list, though.

Made by the aforementioned ScrappySim195, this Zelda Sim is an adorable recreation of her look from the game Skyward Sword. She has long blonde hair and wears the same pink and white color scheme, transformed here into a modern pink sweater, white leggings, and long boot combo, which suits her surprisingly well. The Zelda Sim also has small and sweet features as well as pointed, elven ears, which are particularly accurate to her most recognizable features.

2 Mario and Luigi

Created by donpanchocruz

  • From the Super Mario series
  • Packs required: Holiday Celebration Stuff Pack (free)

Mario is arguably the most well-known character in video game history, so of course, he makes it onto our list alongside his brother Luigi. Created by Simmer donpanchocruz, the subtlety is what makes these Sims work so well. These Super Mario characters have highly exaggerated features to make it clear that they are cartoon characters, such as Mario’s tiny height. This doesn’t always come across well when recreated in The Sims, with some cartoony characters looking incredibly creepy and sometimes downright frightening.

Donpanchocruz manages to walk this fine line excellently, creating two Sims that are very much Mario and Luigi but can still pass by in a Sims game without scaring the player half to death. They still have their huge noses, mustaches, and green and red color palettes but these two Mario and Luigi Sims are certainly more laid back and modest than some of the other Mario-themed Sims in the gallery.

1 Kratos

Created by SweetSimPenny

  • From the God of War series
  • Expansions required: Discover University, Island Living, Get Famous, Seasons and Get To Work

Last but not least is a recreation of everyone's favorite God of War, Kratos. This is an amazing recreation of the character as he appears in the recent reboot games, but what makes it particularly impressive is the creativity with which Simmer SweetSimPenny has gone about making him look as accurate as possible.

The mermaid attire from the Island Living game expansion pack is used in a unique way to replicate Kratos’s armor, such as red mermaid netting being used to represent the fabric on his chest. The mermaid top half is combined with acting costumes found in the Get Famous expansion on the bottom half to create an outfit that genuinely looks like something Kratos would wear. The creativity and accuracy of this Kratos Sim is not only awesome, but it also makes him the best take on a video character found in The Sims 4 gallery.
