How to Learn the Gemology Skill

Sims can study the Gemology Skill in order to learn how to craft jewelry and gemstones. To first learn the Gemology Skill in The Sims 4, players will either have to read the book "Gemology Vol. 1: Shine On" or use the Gemology Table, which can be purchase in Build Mode.

Players can continue to study Gemology Skill by reading, or they can do so practically by attempting to craft jewelry and gemstones. As they increase their Gemology Skill Level, they'll increase their craftmanship speed and unlock more gemstone shapes and jewelry styles.

Jewelry and gemstones can be quite useful in The Sims 4 - they're not just an aesthetic addition to one's wardrobe or home. Sims can sell their crystal creations and make a decent profit; they can gift them to their friends or lovers; and they can charge them on the Crystal Grid to take advantage of the crystal used to craft the piece.

Gemology Skill Level Rewards

As Sims increase their Gemology Skill Level, they'll be able to craft faster and find more crystals and metals when digging up rocks.
