The Sims 4 is a life simulation game that gives players complete control over their Sims and their worlds. While Simmers can start from scratch, The Sims 4 has introduced a way for them to enjoy short storylines. Scenarios are goal-based situations with multiple outcomes depending on what choices are made. Scenarios can be broad or focus on a specific story with negative and positive conclusions. The Family Fortune scenario follows the Landry Family as they fight over an inheritance.
Players can smooth over the tension among relatives or stoke the flames. However, it will require work if they want a happy ending, as making the family treat each other kindly can be challenging. So, here's how to complete the Family Fortune scenario and earn Grandma's inheritance in The Sims 4.
How To Complete The Family Fortune Scenario
Players must select the Family Fortune scenario from the home screen after booting up the game to start. Choose the scenario tab and scroll to find the Family Fortune Scenario. After clicking "Play," it will immediately begin, and players must choose or build a house for the Landry family to move into.
Turn on cheats and use the freerealestate on cheat to move them into any house they want without spending Simoleons.
The Landry family includes three siblings, Ava, Eddie, and Lila, and their grandmother Nyssa. This scenario challenges players to reconcile the harsh relationship between the four to see if Nyssa will give them her money or give it all away after she dies. See below for the scenario's details:

There are three parts that players must complete to finish the Family Fortune Scenario. Each one has a set of goals with overall objectives and optional tasks to enrich the storyline.

When the scenario first starts, everyone is upset with each other. Grandma says she is disappointed in their behavior and thinks they are failing the family legacy. She insists they get their act together or don't get a single cent from her fortune when she passes away. Of course, all three want the money for themselves, which causes a massive rift between them all and upsets Nyssa.
The first and easiest goal is to improve Grandma's mood. Giving her some space from everyone and doing a fun task is the quickest way to remove her bad moodlets. Once she enters a positive mood, this goal will be checked off. While the objectives can be done in any order, doing the Dinner Party last also gives players a chance to complete all the optional goals. The goal that will take the longest is to Heal Negative Sentiments.
To do this, the Sims must use friendly interactions with each other until their relationships are no longer in the red. Since everyone is mad, getting them to interact without completing mean interactions is almost impossible. This is especially difficult because Ava is a Mean Sim, so she loves antagonizing everyone, and Lila is Hot-Headed and easily goaded into fights. One way to avoid negative conversations is to turn autonomy off so they won't talk to each other without player input.
Of course, players can cause more chaos in the house if they want to have a little fun before moving forward. The siblings can fight, and Nyssa could even donate some of her money to charity to teach them a lesson. Players can do a few things to ease the tension in the household. The main thing is to try and separate everyone and put them in a good mood. Players can do this through fun activities or use mood potions purchased with Satisfaction Points from the Rewards Store. Buying and placing objects with Emotional Auras is another way to ensure everyone stays happy for the most part.
The next step is to increase everyone's relationship with each other and get rid of negative Sentiments. When everyone is happy, Deep Conversation interactions like Apologize and Find Common Ground are the best ways to get their relationship bar out of the red. The sister's relationship is a little harder to mend, but continuously spamming friendly interactions will eventually lessen the animosity. Once everyone likes each other, players can have a Dinner Party.
Use a phone or the calendar to throw an event. Doing the event's goals does not affect the scenario, but there are rewards if players want to take it on. If they want to complete the optional objective of getting through the party without any fighting, ensure all the Sims are happy before it starts and keep an eye on Ava since being mean makes her happy. After the Dinner Party ends, the next part of the scenario begins.

With the Dinner Party complete, Nyssa confronts the siblings about their lack of jobs, partners, and motivation to be better Sims. She expects them to start contributing to the household, or they aren't getting help from her once she's gone. So, Nyssa wants all three of them to get jobs and earn 10,000 Simoleons to prove themselves. She can even burn 50,000 grand to show them she is serious. Players can start by making sure all the siblings are employed.
To get a job, open the career panel and select "Join a Career" or use a phone or computer to find one. It doesn't matter which job the siblings have as long as it is one of the official careers, so full-time and part-time are free games. Players may want to get a high-paying career to raise the 10,000 without much trouble. Make sure to complete all their work tasks to get a promotion and knock out the optional goal. Then, they can focus on making things right with Grandma and finding romantic partners for everyone while they earn money.
Her negative sentiments aren't as deep as the ones between the siblings, so it shouldn't take as much effort to increase their relationship. She is a Family-Oriented Sim and enjoys quality time and conversations with her grandchildren, so the arguing should be minimal. If players want to achieve the remaining goals, they can visit a bar or other social venue to try and find romance. As soon as the 10,000 Simoleon goal is hit, the final part of the Family Fortune scenario starts.

The next set of goals sets off with Nyssa dying of old age. After she dies, all three siblings get a copy of her inheritance letter reflecting their relationship with her and how many goals the Sims completed. It will also inform them how much inheritance money, if any, they received. What they do with that money can affect the outcome. For example, players will get the Giving It All Away outcome if one of the siblings donates their inheritance. Players must mourn at Nyssa's headstone or urn to finish the scenario.
Click on her grave and have one of the siblings mourn her. After that, players can wait till her ghost appears and either release her spirit or strengthen her connection to keep her ghost around. If they are ready to complete the scenario, click on her grave and engrave her final resting place with a heartfelt or not-so message. The more goals and choices players make will influence their rewards and the outcomes they receive. Nevertheless, the scenario is dynamic enough for multiple replays to get different outcomes.
