After-school activities in The Sims 4: High School Years allow teen Sims to participate in sports and competitions. Copperdale High is equipped with everything a teenager could want to do, including joining the Cheer Team. This provides them with a way to increase their Fitness Skill and meet new friends.
Much like Drama Club or the Scouts, Cheer takes place after school and is a rabbit hole. However, there is a weekly festival and a gameplay object that players can enjoy whenever they are a part of the team. There are also perks for higher education from doing athletics in high school. So, here's how to join the Cheer Team in The Sims 4: High School Years.
How to Join the Cheer Team
Joining the Cheer Team is possible using two methods. The first and easiest way is to access the Job App using the desired Sim's phone. Cheer is considered an after-school activity but found in the same place as part-time jobs under the Career Panel. To join, choose "Cheer Team Member." Their Sim will automatically be a part of the team and go to the next scheduled practice. They will also get a School Spirit Practice Solo Mat sent to their household inventory.
Cheer takes place every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30 PM-5:30 PM. Teens will also have the chance to go to the Cheerleading Team Sports Day event on Fridays from 5:00 PM-10:00 PM. The event is open to any Sim, not just cheerleaders and Sims can compete in a small cheer competition there.
Cheerleading Team Sports Day has a hired vendor, fireworks, photo backdrops, and multiple cheer mats set out for competitors. To join the competition, go to any cheer mats and perform a solo or group routine. When the performance is finished, players must click on the judge, who will have Competition Judge over their head in red, and submit their scores. Toward the end of the event, the judge will gather everyone at the podium to announce the winners.
