In Create-a-Sim, players get to create their Sims, customize their appearance, and select their traits and aspirations. Many Sims 4 players spend hours in CAS creating Sims that will fit perfectly into their next save file's household. It's also common for fans to visit CAS to customize their Sims' best friends, significant others, and even enemies.
There is one issue with Create-a-Sim in The Sims 4, however - Sims just won't stand still. This can be particularly frustrating when players are trying to pick accessories and looking at a specific part of their appearance. This guide will tell players how they can immobilize their Sims in CAS to make them much easier to customize.
How to Make Sims Stand Still in Create-a-Sim
Sims are constantly repeating the same animations in Create-a-Sim, making the customization process a bit frustrating. If players own the Realm of Magic game pack and attempt to make a spellcaster, it'll be even worse, as these occult Sims are constantly repeating their magic spell animations in CAS.
Thankfully, there is a cheat code that allows players to stop Sims' movement in Create-a-Sim. Even though cheating can be considered wrong in some games, in The Sims 4, it actually gives players access to useful features that will improve their quality of life while gaming, which is why the developers have no problem sharing the cheat codes with fans and encourage their usage.
First, players must enable cheats by opening the cheat console (Ctrl+Shift+C on PC and hitting all shoulder buttons at once on console) and then typing "testingcheats on". This will activate cheats, allowing players to write all sorts of handy cheats whenever they reopen the cheat console again.
In The Sims 4, players can make Sims stand still in Create-a-Sim by enabling cheats and inserting the following cheat code into the cheat console: casclockspeed 0. They can slow Sims' movements with the code casclockspeed 0.5, and they can resume movement by typing casclockspeed 1. The video below shows the difference in each speed:
