While going through EA's The Sims 4, players will need to keep a lot of things in mind as they chase that perfect life, including real estate. Time, effort, and Simoleons are required to actualize their Sims' dreams, and buying the perfect house might not be a priority when someone is still trying to strike a relationship or set up a career path. Fortunately, there is an easy way around this dilemma: the Free Real Estate Cheat.
As indicated by its name, The Sims 4's free release estate cheat allows players to just pick up their ideal Sims home without having to drop any money. The process is pretty simple too, making it an enticing option in situations when a player wishes to save their funds for other purchases.
The Sims 4: 20 Best Mods For Events & Parties
There's a lot of room to get creative with parties and events in The Sims 4, particularly when these mods are thrown into the mix.
Updated on September 30, 2024, by Usama Ali: Buying and upgrading houses in The Sims 4 can be quite costly. Even with careful planning and budgeting, it's easy to get carried away and spend a lot of Simoleons on the perfect home for one’s Sims. Thankfully, The Sims 4 lets players use cheats to manipulate certain aspects of the game, including their wallets. One such cheat is the Free Real Estate cheat that lets players purchase any home without spending a single Simoleon. This cheat still works and is perfect for those who want to skip the early stages of saving up for a home.
How to Use The Sims 4 Free Real Estate Cheat
With the Free Real Estate cheat, there’s no need for players to grind for Simoleons to afford their dream home. This simple cheat allows players to move their Sims to any world and neighborhood no matter the cost.
As with other cheat codes in The Sims 4, players need to enable cheats before they can use the free real estate cheat. It’s quite simple to activate cheats. However, the method varies depending on the platform.
- PC users need to press Ctrl + Shift + C simultaneously, while Mac users need to hit Command + Shift + C.
- Xbox players need to hold down LT + RT + LB + RB buttons at the same time.
- PlayStation users can press L1 + R1 + L2 + R2 triggers simultaneously.
Once a small dialogue box opens in the top-left corner of the screen, type in “testingcheats true” or “testingcheats on” to enable cheats in The Sims 4. If done correctly, a message will pop up on the screen, saying “Cheats are enabled.”
After activating cheats, players can type in the following cheat code to get free real estate for their Sim: “freerealestate on”. By pressing Enter, all the vacant lots in the world will have a green line around them, confirming that the cheat has worked.
By using the free real estate cheat, players can get a headstart and begin their game with a luxurious home and shift their focus on building their Sim's life. Plus, this handy cheat lets players try out different building styles and designs without worrying about costs. They can navigate through the maps using the globe icon and change their Sim’s world too.
Players may not be able to move their Sim into a new home if another Sims family already lives there.
To turn the cheat off, simply type “freerealestate off” in the text box. This way, players can grab the house they want and return to playing the game without cheats still enabled.
