The Sims 4 players were treated to a surprise update at the start of April, and many believe this was a calculated effort to combat the release of competitor sim InZOI’s late-March launch. Nevertheless, the update boasted a variety of new items and character customization options for fans to jump on.

Since The Sims 4 is one of the best games that lets players grow their own garden, some of the top fixes being investigated for the next update are a bug that stops Sims from being able to water plants and plants that show black spots after zooming out. Other leading community concerns aired in the Laundry List include glitching Vampire eyes on Child Sims, unresponsive Sims and game freeze while using the save menu, and a bug that renders the game unresponsive when traveling to the Library and the Willow Creek nightclub. Another more bizarre issue being investigated is a problem with Sims’ arm hair not being removed after shaving to the player’s preferred length.
The Sims 4 Laundry List Specifies Fixes Coming in Next Update Based on Community Concerns
The life sim community isn’t shy about making its voice heard regarding in-game issues, including The Sims 4 player base’s annoyance with one particular object. Thanks to the game’s forum, Maxis and EA have been monitoring players’ concerns, which has seemingly been the driving force behind a chunk of the next update’s fixes. Furthermore, the Laundry List noted some more topics reported by players didn’t make the list, but they were still being worked on behind the scenes.
The Sims 4 has been the leading social sim since it broke onto the scene, but the gaming community had another life simulation game on their radar recently. Publisher Krafton’s InZOI was considered to be somewhat of a threat to Maxis and EA’s flagship IP, so much so that the publisher sent The Sims 4 players surveys regarding InZOI. Since the new life sim is still in early access, it’s evident the devs still have some bugs to eradicate, and the 85% drop in player count after launch will be continuously monitored as well.
