Summary
- The Sims 4 may introduce fairies in the upcoming Enchanted by Nature expansion pack.
- The leak comes from a reputable source, but official confirmation is still pending from EA.
- Fans are excited for fairies' return, hoping for new gameplay elements and skills to be introduced.
According to a new leak, The Sims 4 might be bringing back fairies to the series in the near future. This would be the first time that Sim fairies would appear in The Sims 4, and would also be their second appearance in the main series thus far.
Though the supernatural in general has had a presence in the Sims franchise for quite some time now, fairies have been a rare occurrence compared to creatures like werewolves and vampires. Not to be confused with fairy familiars, only The Sims 3 has featured playable fairies, which were added as part of the Supernatural expansion pack for the game. Though they were limited to a one-time release that came out over a decade ago, fans haven't stopped asking to bring fairies back to The Sims.
The Cardinal Sins of The Sims 4 Explained
Even after a decade, many players of The Sims 4 commit cardinal sins that affect gameplay outcomes and thwart overall enjoyment.
Now, a leak on game key site Instant Gaming seems to indicate that a future expansion is being prepped that will bring fairies back to the game. The expansion pack is called Enchanted by Nature, and it allegedly features a number of new activities and twists connected to spending time outdoors. According to the description of the expansion, players "may discover fairies," which are described as mischievous. Fairies can give Sims ailments, or they can help the surrounding nature by doing things like making plants bloom. Additionally, players will be able to unlock a new Natural Living skill, raise potted plants, or become Apothecaries who can help other Sims with ailments, craft potions, or follow a Naturopath career route. The expansion is allegedly set to release on July 9.
Can The Sims 4 Fairies Leak Be Trusted?
While fans may be excited, this leak, like any others, should be taken with a grain of salt. With that said, the retailer website Instant Gaming does sell legitimate keys for official Sims 4 releases. Further, Instant Gaming has previously leaked a couple of other expansion names accurately, including The Sims 4: Life and Death, and For Rent. However, with that said, there's been no official confirmation from EA regarding the alleged upcoming expansion. Further, the website is using a placeholder image for the pack that appears to be AI-generated, which adds more reason to be cautious for now.
While it remains to be seen if Instant Gaming's listing is accurate, the hype generated for this alleged expansion pack is high. Fans are clearly ready to see fairies return to the series and are excited to see how they might work these days, as there are some significant differences between The Sims 3 and 4. In the meantime, players are currently exploring the additions in The Sims 4's three most recent kits, which were all released on May 1.
