The Sims 4 Discover University introduced players to an academic skill known as Debate and Research. Gamers will need to work on the Debate and Research Skill in The Sims 4 in order to improve their studying capacities, their ability to debate, and even how well they're able to influence others and get them to perform certain tasks.
The Sims 4: All Skill Cheats
Skill cheats allow Sims 4 players to adjust their Skills without spending in-game hours working on them.
A key instrument when practicing Debate and Research in The Sims 4 is the Research Archive Machine. While this machine is similar to a computer, it is not found as easily in-game. This guide will show players how they can get their hands on a Research Archive Machine in The Sims 4 Discover University.
How to Find the Research Archive Machine in The Sims 4
The Research Archive Machine is exclusive to the Discover University expansion pack. Therefore, gamers will only find it in Britechester, the world that comes with The Sims 4 Discover University.
If players visit the Laurel Library in Britechester, they will be able to quickly spot the Research Archive Machines in the computer room, which is located on the ground floor, on the right side of the building.
Alternatively, it is also possible to buy one or place one down in other areas. To find a Research Archive Machine in The Sims 4 Build Mode, gamers must open the Activities and Skills tab and select Knowledge, which is represented by a chessboard. In Build Mode, it is titled as Electromagnetic Research Archive Machine and costs 12,500 Simoleons.
How to Use the Research Archive Machine in The Sims 4
At first, players will only be able to use the Research Archive Machine to research subjects, which allows them to work on the Research and Debate Skill as well as the skill connected to the chosen subject. As players level up their Research and Debate Skill, they will unlock more interactions for the Research Archive Machine. They will unlock more research options, gain the ability to use it to prepare for a debate, or contribute knowledge.
While contributing knowledge is a quick way to earn money in The Sims 4, it can be dangerous. If the Sim becomes dazed from doing it and continues to contribute, they will become too fatigued and may die.
