Updated July 21, 2024, by Christopher Norman Worcester: The Witcher 3 continues to be one of the most popular Action-RPGs available today, years after its original release. It's a testament to CD Projekt Red's incredible design and attention to detail that players around the world return to undertake Geralt's journey over and over. Because of this, we are always examining our most popular Witcher 3 guides, with a focus on improving every aspect and providing the best possible information. This update will include a new video, and restructure the guide to make it more user-friendly.
The most important question Geralt of Rivia should ask himself throughout the course of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is not "how do I kill this terrible monster?" The most important question is "do I look good doing it?" All Witchers know that it's better to add a bit of panache, a bit of style, to an otherwise drab event like killing a fiend. To that end, it's important, nay crucial, that any self-respecting Witcher knows the exact location of the closest barber at all times. Barbers were initially added to The Witcher 3 through CD Projekt Red's famous series of free DLC. With eight locations throughout the game and its expansions, Barbers are something of a rare occurrence that can sometimes be tricky to find.
The Witcher 3: The 28 Best Silver Swords, Ranked
While steel swords will carve through human enemies in The Witcher 3, silver swords will cut down any fearsome creature of legend.

All Witcher 3 Barber Locations: Velen
Claywich:
The only barber located in Velen proper can be found in the small village of Claywich. However, utilizing this particular stylist comes with a small catch: he must first be freed from captivity. Look for a question-mark south of Hanged Man's Tree and Mulbrydale.
Here, Geralt will find a Person(s) in Distress point of interest. The man being held is Claywich's barber. Once he is freed, give him at least 24 in-game hours to reach his final location.
The Strongest Weapons in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Many players are returning to The Witcher 3 once again, and here is a rundown of some of the best weapons that players can find in the game.
Barber Locations: Oxenfurt
Shop Location:
The barber is located in the heart of the city, just south of The Alchemy, denoted on the map by a mug of beer. The scissor symbol that usually marks the location of a barber is often missing from the main map until Geralt gets close enough to see it. He offers the same cuts as the barber in Claywich.
Barber Locations: Novigrad
The Bits:
The first Novigrad barber can be found near the Oxenfurt gate fast-travel marker, just inside the walls in an area known as The Bits. This drunken "barber" claims he'll give Geralt a haircut for half price, though when it comes time to pay, he's suspiciously silent on the matter (and still charges 10 crowns).
Gildorf:
The second barber in Novigrad is located up near the St. Gregory's Bridge fast-travel location. Geralt need only see his bow to know he is Nilfgaardian!
The Witcher 3: 8 Best Quests In Velen
It's not long into The Witcher 3 that players get to explore the region of Velen. These are some of the best quests in the area.
Barber Locations: Skellige
Kaer Trolde Harbor:
Sjusta, the clothing merchant in Kaer Trolde harbor, will cut Geralt's hair if asked. He offers the same styles as everyone else.
Svorlag:
The second barber in Skellige is located on the small isle of Spikeroog, northwest of the main island. The barber is found in the village of Svorlag, on the eastern coast.
Barber Locations: Toussaint
Tourney Grounds:
The first barber available in the Blood & Wine DLC can be found at the tourney grounds, near the arena where Geralt fights the shaelmaar.
Basane Farm:
Basane Farm sits east of Dun Tynne Castle, near a small lake. Geralt can acquire the usage of the barber by freeing this abandoned village of the werewolf that occupies it. Once cleared, the townsfolk will return, along with their trusty hair stylist.
Jean-Louis Ludovic
The final barber in Toussaint will only be available after completing the secondary quest "Of Sheers and a Witcher I Sing." The quest can be initiated by interacting with Le Papillon, who is found near Ludovic's shop in southern Beauclair. Once the quest is complete, Geralt will have access to the barber's services.
As a special reward, Ludovic will give Geralt access to the most amazing new haircut: The Queen's Pageboy.
