The Blade from the Bits is a great steel sword that players can gain access to rather early on in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. While many swords in the game can be obtained via exploring, others come as a reward for completing a mission and helping out a friend or an acquaintance.

The Witcher 3: Which Difficulty Setting Should You Choose?

Here's how to choose the right Witcher 3 difficulty setting based on different factors like enemy health and damage.

Having a good sword in The Witcher 3 is really important, as you can deal more damage and even build a look that you like by swinging it in combat while wearing dyed armor. Here’s how to get the Blade from the Bits in The Witcher 3 to gain an advantage over Geralt’s enemies.

How To Get The Blade From The Bits In The Witcher 3

To get the Blade from the Bits in The Witcher 3, you'll have to start the mission “Of Swords and Dumplings,” which can be accessed through Eibhear Hattori’s blacksmith shop in Novigrad. When you talk to him, he'll tell you that he's been having some issues, such as having to pay a fee to the King of Beggars. You must go with him to a meeting with some of the King of Beggars' people.

Here's where you’ll want to be a tough negotiator, as Tinboy, one of the King of Beggars’ representatives, will ask for a 50% cut of Hattori's work. By standing your ground, you can drop this to 25% and a discount, which benefits Hattori greatly. Once you cut the deal, you will be attacked by some of Cleaver’s bandits. This fight can be tough if you're not strong enough, so using Quen and potions is advised. Respeccing is also a good idea if you deem it necessary.

The Witcher 3 - Fighting With Sukrus-1

After killing the bandits, Hattori will hide in his shop and ask you to get him a bodyguard. Follow the map’s indications to find Sukrus, a strong man from Skellige who will only agree to talk to you after you beat him in a fistfight.

The Witcher 3 - Sukrus-2

Once you've defeated Sukrus, you can have a drink with him at a nearby tavern, and he'll ask you to help him with an issue he’s been having with some mead merchants. Go to the docks and talk to the merchant on the indicated boat. You can reason with him if your Axii skills are high enough, but if they're not, you’ll have to fight him and his bandits.

The Witcher 3: How to Heal

There are several ways to heal Geralt in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and this guide outlines what each method entails.

The Witcher 3 - Merchant-1

When you defeat them, you can return to Sukrus and tell him that the problem has been dealt with. Then, you can return to Hattori, and he’ll tell you he needs supplies. So, your next step is to go to Ernst van Hoorn’s warehouse to get them.

The Witcher 3 - Dwarf At The Entrance-1

Upon reaching the warehouse, you’ll see Yarpen, a dwarf who recognizes Geralt, and he’ll let you in if you either give him 200 Crowns or if you have Axii Level 3. Once inside the warehouse, use your Witcher Senses to mark the right crates and exit the building. You’ll then have to fight Ernst van Hoorn’s bandits and defeat them. When you do, you can go back to Hattori to collect the Blade from the Bits, your well-deserved reward.

For the point in the game where you get it, the Blade from the Bits is a pretty good sword. Naturally, it pales in comparison with stronger steel swords that you'll gain access to as you progress through the story. However, with a 50% critical hit damage bonus and 3 slots, the Blade from the Bits is a just reward for all the effort that is required to get it.
