The Nightmare Deja Vu questline in Throne and Liberty is one of the trickiest ones to complete since it requires a lot of coordination while also solving a puzzle and picking the correct morph to do so. At The Lycans' Hall will send players looking for a missing villager from Canina, in the middle of Grayclaw Forest.
Throne And Liberty: 11 Best Cooking Recipes, Ranked
The buffs acquired from cooking recipes in Throne and Liberty can mean the difference between a successful quest, and a painful demise.
Players might feel a little bit stuck here, so this guide covers all the steps to solve this quest once and for all and complete this part of chapter 10.
Arriving At Canina Village & Starting The Questline
To start this quest, players should first trigger Chapter 10, which starts after completing Chapter 9 and saving Benny from the Akidu Orcs. The players will be sent by an NPC named Hannah back to Canina Village to deliver a package for an NPC named Hardem. After that, they'll need to speak with the Guard Captain, who is troubled by a series of disappearances happening near Grayclaw Forest.
Players will start Chapter 10 with the quest Into The Graycaw Forest and follow up with Appendix 1 of Chapter 10: Vicious Lycans. Here's what players need to do in order to reach the Lycans' Hall part of the Chapter:
- Deliver Hannah's gift to Harden.
- Speak to Gustav.
- Go to Grayclaw Forest and search for Harden — kill 10 Kowazan Clan Members (Lycan enemies by night, humans by day).
- Start 'Find Harden' by traveling northeast and searching for the Quest Marker. Look for traces of the missing villager.
- Follow Harden's trail until reaching Lycans' Hall (It will be inside the Guild Landmark, in the basement).
- Enter the Instance and start 'At The Lycans' Hall.'

How To Solve The Moon Puzzle At The Lycans' Hall
At The Lycans' Hall starts immediately after finding Harden's last clue and listening to its dialogue cue. Players have to descend into the ruined building until they find a door with the characteristic cutscene mark (blue bright cross pattern) at the front. Interact with it to enter the solo-dungeon, then talk to Clay to start solving the puzzle.
The first part of the puzzle is quite simple, as players will need to pay attention to the moon-shaped patterns and look for a yellow one and a blue one that, when put together, form the shape of the full moon. It's quite simple, in theory, but as the lights move quickly and dance around, it is quite difficult to manage it on the first try. Here's what players should do to complete this part of the quest:
- Examine the Full Moonstone in the middle.
- Select 'Use' to start solving the puzzle.
- Observe the light patterns and look for the two half moons (yellow and blue).
- Follow the movements and then interact with the Incantation Pillar that holds the correct patterns, one at a time.
In the video below, there's a full rundown of the puzzle's two stages:
The second part of the puzzle is a little more complicated, since it requires players to do some extra steps. But, before beginning to solve the second part, make sure to have a morph with a wolf shape activated, like the 'Wild Skoll' or 'Shadow Skoll,' since it is a prerequisite for the puzzle to start working again:
- Morph into Wolf Dash form and grab the first light pattern.
- Run to the corresponding pattern in the column and interact with it.
- Dash to the next pattern.
- Repeat until completing the puzzle.
Keep in mind that the patterns are random, and each playthrough can showcase the patterns in different positions. Make sure that the shapes always form a full circle (Full Moon) or the puzzle will reset. But the thing that always stays the same — no matter the location of the patterns — is that each pair comes in two different colors. So, players will always need to find a blue piece and a yellow piece to complete each pattern.
For players with difficulties distinguishing the patterns, there are two things that might help. Lowering the Ambient Occlusion and Effect Quality might help them distinguish the patterns. For those suffering from daltonism or deuteranopia, turn Color Deficiency on in the Accessibility tab of the Settings menu.
After the puzzle is complete, players will witness a cutscene, and Clay will prompt them to follow him and look for the missing person (who is actually behind the altar). Now, players need to return to Canina Village and head to the Talon Guild Base to witness how the whole situation is escaping from Clay's control. Players will now be able to move forward in the Chapter and help Harden regain consciousness by gathering some materials.
