Throne and Liberty is built upon the standard 'holy trinity' structure seen in most MMORPGs, with players often filling either a DPS, Tank, or Support role. The class system, however, is far from standard. Instead of strict classes, players choose a weapon combination from two weapons, loosely fitting into a class identity without necessarily directly picking a class. DPS is the most represented and popular role within the class selection, and thus players should know what class is the best to pick should they want to play a DPS.

5 Spellblade

The Spellblade utilizes a weapon combination of Staff and Daggers to output damage. It is a versatile class that can be used for solid damage in both PvE and PvP. There are multiple ways the Spellblade class can be built depending on the activity or targets, allowing for heavy burst single-target damage or sustained AoE. The AoE portion of their damage mostly comes from the staff, whereas single-target damage is the specialty of the daggers.

Abilities such as Judgment Lightning and Chain Thunder from the staff can provide heavy AoE damage, which is especially valuable in large-scale PvP fights. The daggers can offer aid to this AoE build through the use of buff abilities such as Shadow Walker, which allows for more evasion and thus greater survivability. This combination is also great for bossing, allowing players to use abilities such as Focused Fire Bombs to stack burn damage, and deal heavy direct damage through Cleaving Moonlight.

Crusader is more akin to a traditional tank build that would be seen in other MMORPGs, offering plenty of survivability alongside abilities designed for damage reduction. Despite this, players should not overlook the damage that the Crusader class can output, with combat abilities and buffs alike allowing players to maximize their damage whilst maintaining their survivability.

Crusader is great as a leveling build, not just due to its nature as a more tank-oriented class, but also its high AoE damage potential. This, coupled with very little downtime, allows players to output a great amount of damage, rivaling the AoE potential of a lot of the more DPS-focused classes. In content such as bossing and dungeons, players can use the buff Devoted Sanctuary, which not only reduces damage taken but can increase the damage output of the party, further aiding the DPS output of the Crusader class.

The Scout excels in PvE due to its more support-oriented nature, allowing it to occupy multiple roles.

Abilities such as Eagle Vision and Sniper's Sense act as incredible DPS buffs, increasing hit chance and critical hit chance respectively. While most damage coming from the Scout class is single-target, offering buffs that mainly boost single target damage, the crossbow has some abilities, such as Annhilation Barrage Shot, that deal some AoE damage alongside the single-target.

Ravager is the ultimate melee class in Throne and Liberty, offering mass amounts of damage up-close and a lot of utility, which makes it incredibly useful for both PvE and PvP. Ravager can also gain mass amounts of skill damage boost and heavy attack chance, which, coupled with increased critical hit and critical damage from daggers, allows for very high damage output by default.

Ravager has high mobility and is perfect for players who want to close the distance and deliver massive combinations of offense. Passive abilities such as Vital Force and Cold Warrior allow players to deal even more damage based on their total max health, meaning the survivability of the class lends itself to greater damage. Another incredibly useful aspect of the Ravager class is its amount of utility and crowd control, perfect for players who like to get involved in PvP. A PvP-oriented Ravager build can access up to two binds, two stuns and one prone, meaning they are incredibly effective up-close in PvP combat.

Scorpion is the premier single-target DPS class in Throne and Liberty, allowing for incredibly effective burst combos up-close, with a hybrid focus on both ranged and melee damage that greatly increases the versatility of the class. Despite its effective and unparalleled single-target DPS, the Scorpion's crossbow allows for a decent AoE output too, further ensuring players have a multitude of tools at their disposal.

Scorpion has high mobility and fast combos that facilitate its aggressive and burst-style attacks in both PvE and PvP. Players can make great use of Thunderclouds, which stack rapidly due to the frequent damage output from both weapons, allowing players to rapidly and effectively utilize Thunderclouds Bombing. This burst potential only increases with the nature of the daggers, allowing a chance to hit multiple times due to their status as a duel-wield weapon. The aforementioned Annihilation Barrage Shot from the crossbow also allows players to use AoE damage alongside their effective Thunderclouds Bombing single-target damage.
