As players explore and complete quests in Throne and Liberty, they will come across a ton of gear, and a good chunk of that will prove to be useful. However, not every piece is going to be something worth keeping, which is why players may want to look into dismantling their gear. This mechanic allows players to break gear down and remove them from their inventory space.
Throne And Liberty: Beginner Mistakes To Avoid
New players to Throne and Liberty would do well to avoid the following mistakes.
Now, this practice does a lot more than just clear out a person's storage to make room for more gear to be picked up later. It will also give the player back the base materials that are necessary to craft the item. It's basically the opposite of crafting and can be great for getting certain materials that could come in handy for other recipes.
How To Dismantle Gear In Throne And Liberty
Throne and Liberty calls the process of dismantling gear "Dissolving." It is a simple process that can be done at any point in the game (as long as the person has the gear to dismantle in their inventory).
Players also need to be aware that Dissolving a piece of gear will cost them some Gold, one of Throne and Liberty's primary currencies. The cost depends on the item and how many are being dissolved at the time. Dissolving a single piece of gear from the inventory will cost a player 80 Gold. Because of this, players need to be sure they want to Dissolve the piece of gear before they go through with it. 80 Gold can add up when done frequently.
Steps For Dissolving Gear In Throne And Liberty
- Open the character's inventory and find the item they want to dismantle.
- Click on the item to bring up a small menu of options.
- Select the Dissolve option on this list. The icon for it will look like a flask.
- The game will show what materials will be given for Dissolving the piece of gear. Select Dissolve again to go through with the process.
- The item will then be removed from the inventory and replaced with the materials.
That's all there is to it, though there is also the option to destroy a piece of gear, which is aptly called "Destroy."
Destroying Gear In Throne And Liberty
This option is for anyone who is looking to remove a piece of gear from their inventory and not get any materials back in return (and thus not lose any gold in the process).
Destroy will remove the item permanently and not replace it with anything once it is done. Players just need to follow the same process as Dissolving gear, but select 'Destroy' in the small menu instead. It can be useful in a pinch if the player is in the middle of an activity and needs to clear space in their inventory quickly. It sacrifices having to manage the resources being added back into the storage with the ease of clearing space.
