The popular MMORPG Throne and Liberty has announced its first Halloween event Haunted Harvest, welcoming players into an event-only dungeon and spooky-themed villages with exciting rewards. In tandem, Throne and Liberty confirmed new unlocks and the First Defender selection for its debut Castle Siege is on the way, making the Solisium an exciting place for gamers this October.

Initially part of the Lineage series, Throne and Liberty was titled Lineage Eternal in 2011 but underwent repurposing during several delays. The game hosted over 3 million players worldwide within the first week of its release, thanks to its free-to-play model and guild-based gameplay. Despite the MMORPG’s debut success, the Throne and Liberty developer NCSoft was recently hit with layoffs amid the studio’s restructuring, while gearing toward the development of future IPs.

Haunted Harvest will take place from October 25 through November 13, offering Halloween-themed cosmetics and even turning Candy Corn into event currency. Due to a slight delay, the event will be released after the downtime on October 24 10:30pm PT (5:30AM UTC), and players will receive an additional 500 Ornate Coins for the inconvenience. The event will see adventurers pursuing a giant jack-o’-lantern, and tick-or-treating is encouraged within any village, all of which will be decorated for the holiday. Players can apply the best builds for clearing Throne and Liberty dungeons while embarking on the Haunted Harvest’s event-only dungeon, and some of the festivities include catching exclusive gummies for various 15-minute buffs, a search for Haunted Harvest peddlers, and summoning Amitoi on Expeditions.

There’s a host of limited-time cosmetics up for grabs during the Halloween event, which is guaranteed to get role players in the spooky spirit. Not among the items players shouldn’t buy from merchants in Throne and Liberty are the Ghastly Gourd cosmetic, Jack-o’-Lantern Izzy Amitoi, and the Hallow-Knight shapeshift, all of which can be exchanged with collected Dimension Pumpkins. The Wicked Enchanter bundle, the Grin Repear outfit, and the Haunted Harvester’s Weapon cosmetics will also be available through the game’s shop. Furthermore, players should watch for the upcoming Phantom Assassin’s Star Premium Battle Pass to gain the titular outfit.

In an attempt to safeguard the future of the free-to-play game and its player base, NCSoft recently began banning bot accounts from Throne and Liberty, and a consensus points to players possibly linking to Steam or Amazon accounts in the future to prevent botting. On a brighter note, the game’s Halloween event promises a "spooktacular" time for PvPvE enthusiasts, with enough fiendish pumpkins to battle well past the witching hour.
