In order to customize the HUD, players simply have to first go to the Main Menu of the game. That's either by pressing Start on their controller or the ESC key on their keyboard.

With the menu pulled up, players need to look down near the bottom in the Settings section to find the 'Edit HUD' option. Going into this will bring up the screen they need to move things around.

During customization, players will see their normal screen pulled up as if they were playing the game. However, there will be a number of grids dividing up the different parts of the HUD. These grids are here to allow players to neatly place the HUD elements that they have activated for their screen.

There will also be a small window that players can use to change the shape of the grids, determine the size of the HUD elements themselves, set a margin between the elements and the edge of the screen, and even save how they set up the screen as a pre-saved preset.

The best part is that this can be changed and edited whenever a player feels like it, so they can experiment with it as long as possible. They can set it up to be one way, play with that for a few hours, and then adjust it again until they find the right one. Of course, players should know that they can't move the HUD elements to be right in the middle of their screen, but truly, why would anyone want that?

It's a surprisingly robust amount of customization that allows players to pick and choose what they want to be on their screen, and where.
