Throne and Liberty is all about getting the resources players need to progress further and faster with their chosen build, and mining is a great way to get valuable resources to craft equipment, weapons, and components to upgrade their gear. So, learning about mining is crucial to reach the maximum level in the game.

Throne And Liberty: Battle Pass Explained

The Battle Pass is a great way to earn in-game rewards and some of the cooler cosmetics in Throne And Liberty; here's how it works.

This full guide covers pretty much everything players need to know about Mining in Throne and Liberty, from how to gather ores, to which kind of Veins and Ores they can find and what they can do with them. So grab a pickaxe, and follow me.

How To Mine In Throne And Liberty

Mining in Throne and Liberty is pretty easy, as with gathering, it all comes down to detecting resources and pressing the 'Interact Key' once players find them. But first things first, let's see how to detect Ore Veins in the minimap:

  • Check on the upper right corner for the minimap, and pay attention to small white 'crystal-shaped' icons popping up there. This means there's a Vein nearby.
  • Veins are detected in a 100-meter radius (more or less) and are for one-time use only, which means, players need to compete with others to reach the resource vein first. So it is a first come first serve mechanic.
  • Unlike in many games, Veins are procedural. They do not 'respawn' in the same spot, but will do it further 'down the road' or 'up the hill.' Meaning that they will probably spawn in the same area but in other spawn spots.

Once a Vein is spotted, it's time to mine it by getting near and pressing 'F' (PC)/'Square'(PS)/ 'X' (Xbox). The character will channel for a few seconds and extract the Ores.

Keep in mind that Ores are automatically added to the inventory. This means players do not need to do anything besides interacting with the Vein. Just make sure the inventory has enough space to hold the resources, or they will be lost.

Types Of Veins, Ores, and Weather Effects

Resource nodes like Veins not only come in types and sizes but also vary in quality and quantity of resource yield. For example: a regular Moonstone Vein will yield a few Pure Manasteel Ore and Pure Gold Ore, but a Gigantinc Moonstone Vein will grant more and will have a chance for green or blue materials to drop as well, or higher quality base materials.

Life Skills are one of the newest additions to Throne and Liberty, and some players might worry they come late into the game.

It is also important to mention that weather can alter the resources granted by nodes, and that includes Veins. Mining while the climate is Rainy could yield some rare resources like Precious Pure Gold. Veins that are enhanced by the weather effects will often display a characteristic 'Glow' or 'Sparkling Effect.'

It is also important to say that some Veins, like the Moonstone, might react differently to the cycles of Day and Night. Each cycle lasts 5 hours in real-time, so players might want to try farming ores at different times of day, and under different weather effects to make the most out of the Mining mechanic.

Finally, every mined material can later be taken to one of the crafters for processing. The Weapons crafter in every major city can refine lesser materials into better quality ones, (white to green, green to blue, etc) at a cost of gold and a fair amount of the base material. Players can do the same in the Accessories crafters for Ores like Pure Gold used to craft Rings and Necklaces.

Try to invest in mobility Items and leveling up the Ground Morph to reach resource nodes faster, and prevent other players from 'stealing' them.

Gathering Ores And What To Use Them For

Different areas have access to different resource nodes, but smacking Veins is not the only way to Gather Ores. Generally speaking, these raw materials can come from almost every source:

  • Material Chests
  • Guild Contract Rewards
  • Event Rewards
  • Rarely Dropped by Enemies

And of course, Ore Veins, which are the staple source for these items. Now, time to figure out what they are used for: Crafting, every piece of equipment in the game can be crafted using refined Ores and other materials. While Manasteel is often used to craft weapons, Gold is used to craft Jewelry.

So the best advice is not to hoard too much on the lesser quality materials unless players are looking to complete a certain piece of their 'Lithography' which requires Regular (white) items to complete the collections and receive the rewards.

Players should keep the following locations in mind while exploring Palia's map to net some valuable ore.

Materials also stack at 99 of each, meaning that players need to either refine, use or deposit in the Warehouse, less they want their inventories overcrowded with chips of minerals.

Players can scout their surroundings from a cliff and morph into their flight forms, then quickly descend on the mining spots. That way they can optimize their farming routes before others spot the Veins.

Best Areas For Mining And Special Events

Generally speaking, players will find even more resources in higher-level areas than in the areas near Kastleton. The best places to mine different kinds of ores are the following:

  • Southwest road between Windhil Shores and Nesting Grounds.
  • Borders of the Shattered Temple.
  • The middle area of the Urstella Fields.
  • North Road towards the Fonos Basin.
  • Black Anvil Forge middle area.

These have large concentrations of Moonstone, and Gigantic Moonstone Veins, while Marind Veins can be found in the more advanced areas like Fonos Basin and Black Anvil. But, there's a safe way to farm lots of this precious material early in the game (around level 20), and that is by riding the Gigantrite.

This special event happens once in a while near the Starlight Observatory Ruins, and players need to wait in the tallest part of the ruin until the giant flying whale is close, then glide on its back and start mining, because there will be loads of Marind Veins which grant green, blue, and even purple resources that sell for hundreds of thousands.

This is one of the best chances players have to get the precious materials, and if they miss the event, they shouldn't worry too much, because it happens every 2 hours. That is 12 times per day: they just need to pay attention to the global warming that says "Gigantrite is arriving at X location."
