Throne and Liberty offers players the option of having two weapons they can swap between. This will in turn decide the name of the class they have. Each of these classes will play differently but will acquire a wide range of different specializations and masteries to make them better at these weapons.
Throne and Liberty: How to Level Up Fast
Getting to max level early in Thrones and Liberty means getting to partake in the engaging and thrilling endgame content.
Players who are putting all of their time into bolstering the mastery and specialization of the Crossbow might wonder what their other choice of weapon should be to ensure they have the best build for their playstyle — and for the various game modes offered.
1 Battleweaver
Crossbow + Staff
- Primary Stats: Wisdom & Dexterity
- Difficulty to master: Medium
When a player pairs their Crossbow with a Staff they get a Battleweaver. This is a build that will allow players to deal massive damage to both mobs in an area of effect, but also channel all their attention into a single boss. This makes it a great choice for players who want to deal decent damage all the time.
This can be a rather mana-hungry build, so players will want to be mindful of just how fast they are burning through their reserves. This is also one of the two least-used builds offered to Crossbow enthusiasts. Since there are only seven weapons in the game, this means there are a total of six possible Crossbow builds — the build that did not make the list is Fury.
2 Scout
Crossbow + Longbow
- Primary Stats: Dexterity & Perception
- Difficulty to master: Easy
Scouts are a great option for dealing continuous amounts of damage. They also provide players with a new way to play the game that few other builds can offer — this comes in the form of an artillery playstyle. This means they find an enemy and relentlessly rain down massive damage from their chosen point.
Every Throne and Liberty Class Explained
Throne and Liberty doesn't feature traditional classes, but its weapon-based class system allows players to choose from seven unique playstyles.
Moving means downtime; they are not dealing damage, so having allies to attract all the aggro and cover them will mean they can focus on providing optimal damage output. Players will not be able to take much damage, and not be able to escape, so players will need to be mindful of what else their allies are doing.
3 Raider
Crossbow + Sword and Shield
- Primary Stats: Strength
- Difficulty to master: Easy
The Raider is a long-range DPS tank and will be great for new players with how easy it is to play. This build can deal out a high amount of damage to a single target, but also to all targets within an area of effect. This makes it great for clearing dungeons as it can dispatch mobs and bosses alike.
This build puts more focus on its damage output than its survivability, so even though it is a tank, it is far from the most tanky of tanks. Players can survive being targeted while providing long-range DPS long enough that their Support teammates can patch them back up to win fights.
4 Outrider
Crossbow + Greatsword
- Primary Stats: Dexterity + Perception
- Difficulty to master: Medium
In terms of difficulty, this build is somewhere between easy and medium. While its playstyle is simple and highly effective, it will take time to get used to the limited survivability offered. A worthwhile Greatswords passive skill to help make them less glassy is
Robust Constitution, which will ramp up a player's max health and their health regeneration to keep them around long enough to push damage.
Throne and Liberty: World of Cooking Quest Guide
Learning to cook in Throne and Liberty can be frustrating, which is why this guide is here to help.
Outriders can deal out a strong flow of consistent damage when in a group that can keep them safe, but if they are not in such a group, they can deal out massive amounts of burst damage before ducking back to safety. Players will find this build works well in PvE, PvP, and GvG game modes, but each of which requires playing it differently. This can make it a challenging build to get a feel for.
5 Scorpion
Crossbow + Daggers
- Primary Stats: Dexterity & Perception
- Difficulty to master: High
Scorpion is easily the king of DPS builds. This build makes use of all the tools available to Crossbows and pairs them incredibly well with those available to Daggers. Daggers will not only push this build to new damage heights with its focus on critical hit optimization but also grant it massive mobility to get out of any tricky situation.
Players will be able to deal out massive amounts of continuous damage to both single targets and groups within an area of effect that can make it one of the fastest ways to clear any of the game’s dungeons and be an incredible force of DPS in any game mode. Such an incredible build does come with a drawback, in that this is a very hard build to master. Most players will be able to perform better in the game with other builds purely because of how demanding a Scorpion can be.
