After setting up your cute Tiny Bookshop in Bookstonbury, you’ll want to buy more books to restock your shelves and decorations to make your shop feel special. One of the best places for that is the Flea Market.
The Flea Market is a great place to visit in Tiny Bookshop. You will find all sorts of books and decorations here, and you can even earn a few stamps along the way. The market doesn’t run every day, but when it does, it’s definitely worth checking out. So, when does the Flea Market open, and what can you get there? Keep reading to find out.
How to Feed the Dog in Tiny Bookshop
Players will encounter a hungry stray dog in the Waterfront Square area of Tiny Bookshop, here's how players can feed the dog and adopt it.
How to Visit the Flea Market in Tiny Bookshop
The Flea Market only opens on Saturdays, so you will need to wait for the weekend to visit it. It’s closed on all other days. You also won’t have access to it right away. After you have spent a few days talking to Tilde, she will tell you about the market, and from then on, you can head there every Saturday.
If you’re ever unsure about events, you can check the Bookstonbury Newspaper. Fern will introduce you to it early in the game. The paper shows you what’s coming up in town and also has a classifieds section where you can find book deals for your shop.
Once Saturday arrives, the Flea Market will appear as a location on your map. Simply select it to set up your shop there. The parking fee is a bit higher than most early game locations, but it’s worth it since you can make good money here.
What Can You Do at the Flea Market?
The market has many decoration stalls. One of the sellers, Anne, focuses on botanical decorations. Buying things like her Window Flower Boxes can slightly improve your sales. For example, the Window Flower Boxes give your crime books a 2% better chance of selling.
Right next to your bookshop, you’ll find a vendor who gives you a free typewriter just by talking to them. This typewriter increases the sales of Classic books by 2%. If the player keeps going left, there’s another vendor selling paintings. Like other decorations, these paintings can also increase the sales chance of certain genres.
Players will also meet some new characters at the Flea Market. On my first visit there, I met Klaus, a local musician, and Anne, who runs her own stall selling decorations.
The Flea Market can also help you earn some stamps. For example, you can earn the Antiques and Vintage stamp just by visiting it for the first time. There’s also the Treasure Hunter stamp, which you get after you buy seven items from the market.
