Tiny Glade is the kind of game that doesn't ask you to stay for a while. It doesn't use any attention-grabbing tactics, doesn't give the player any objective, and doesn't direct them in any way other than the starting tutorial. It leaves everything up to the player, giving them all the tools to unleash their creativity.

One feature of the game that players might have missed is the fact that they can change the time of day. This lets them get truly beautiful shots, and manipulating the position of the sun lets them get the exact shadow locations and lighting angles that they need.

How to Change the Time in Tiny Glade

How to Change the Time in Tiny Glade

There are two ways to change the time in the game. First, players can do so using the hotbar icon present at the bottom of their screen. Secondly, they can find the icon within the camera menu, which brings up the same UI to change the time during the photography process.

Here's what to do to bring your time wizard fantasies to life:

  • Click on the sun icon found in your hotbar at the bottom of your screen. It is the right-most icon. In the camera context menu, it is the second-to-right-most icon.
  • Use the wheel that pops up on your screen to change the time of day. The upper half of the wheel is the day, while the lower half is night.

The time won't immediately change after you shift the wheel's position. The actual sun will lag behind slightly, which will be indicated on the wheel by a darker cursor following the one you move around.

  • If you want to keep the sun in the same location at all times, click the lock icon next to the time wheel. Doing so will stop the sun at its current position.

How to Change the Position of the Sun in Tiny Glade

The developers know that getting good photographs is a big part of playing a game like Tiny Glade, where player creations aren't just a cool community contribution, they are the end goal for most players. That's why there is a photo mode, and a ton of camera options for players to fiddle around with. Not only that, players can also completely manipulate the lighting source, i.e., the sun, to get the perfect picture.

  • Click the same sun icon that lets you manipulate the time of the day in your hotbar.
  • Here, you'll see another wheel underneath the one that changes the sun's altitude. It is indicated by a compass in the middle of the wheel.
  • Rotate the wheel to change the direction that the sun rises from and sets in. This will act as a way to change the direction of the shadows in your glade.
