Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has a vast array of potential builds due to its multiclassing system, and the Hexecutioner is a great example of this. Using skills from Clawbringer and Spellshot, the Hexecutioner can deal tons of elemental damage via spells and action abilities. This build predominantly focuses on fire damage, but dips into a few of the Clawbringer's lightning skills too. The build also uses a number of powerful Spellshot skills to improve magic power and recharge rates.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a first-person looter shooter from Gearbox Software and 2K, starring Tiny Tina as the Bunker Master of a new Bunker's & Badasses campaign. Journeying across the Wonderlands and fighting countless foes as the "Fatemaker," players now have more content than ever to explore due to the release of the first DLC: "Coiled Captors."
Fire Hexecutioner Build
This Hexecutioner Build is all about maximizing elemental damage through spells and guns, with a particular edge given to fire damage.
Using Glass Cannon (Spellshot Tier 3), High Thread Count (Spellshot Tier 4), and Dragon Aura (Clawbringer Tier 2), the Hexecutioner can hugely increase the damage dealt by their spells. With 8 Stacks of the Spellweaving buff (Spellshot's Class Feat which applies a spell damage buff on casting or reloading) and Glass Cannon, the Hexecutioner can deal 110% more damage with all spells. Paired with Dragon Aura, this rises to 130% while also giving a 20% boost to all nearby allies.
With all of this raw spellcasting power, it's important to also have plenty of spells to cast. For this, players should use the Ambi-Hextrous class skill from Spellshot to gain a second slot for equipping spells. Then, the skills Font of Mana (Spellshot Tier 2) and Sever the Thread (Spellshot Tier 6) will provide the Fatemaker with a 20% boost to spell recharge rate and a chance to refresh all spell slots when landing a gun critical hit.
This ensures the player can throw around powerful spells that would normally have very costly cooldowns with impunity.
Since the Hexecutioner will be making regular use of guns to trigger Sever the Thread, it's useful to boost up their gun damage too. The best way to manage this is with the skills Magic Bullets (Spellshot Tier 1), Oath of Fire (Clawbringer Tier 1), Firebolt (Clawbringer Tier 4), and One Slot, One Kill (Spellshot Tier 5).
These grant 45% of the Fatemaker's bonus spell damage to their gun damage, add 20% bonus fire damage to their shots, grant an extra 8% gun damage, and grant an additional 4% gun damage for each stack of Spellweaving on the Fatemaker.
Combined, these skills make the player incredibly deadly with their guns, making those critical hits they're scoring to activate Sever the Thread all the more dangerous.
Of course, Glass Cannon comes with a dangerous and potentially deadly drawback as it removes natural ward regeneration. To minimize the impact of this, players should also grab Radiance (Clawbringer Tier 1) and Mage Armor (Spellshot Tier 2).
Radiance grants a 30% boost to max ward, while Mage Armor restores 10% of the Fatemaker's ward whenever they gain a Spellweaving stack. As long as the player is regularly casting spells and keeping their guns reloaded, it becomes relatively straightforward to restore wards even without natural regeneration.
Storm Breath (Clawbringer Tier 4) also aids in this, giving the player a 12% bonus to damage reduction. It also gives their wyvern companion a breath attack that causes lightning damage, which can chain to other nearby foes, supplying an additional damage source.
Spell Sniper (Spellshot Tier 1) is useful for increasing the odds of spell critical hits by a huge 60%, and pairs well with Double Knot (Spellshot Tier 5) to deal massive damage using spells and elemental weapons.
Blasthamut's Favor (Clawbringer Tier 3) also assists in spreading damage around by generating homing elemental orbs when the Fatemaker lands a melee or gun kill.
While the wyvern companion is not the focus of this build, several of the skills in this build do provide it with additional attacks and the means to help the Hexecutioner bathe the land in fire.
Stats (Background: Raised By Elves)
- Strength: 10 (While this build deals a lot of critical hits, there are other stats it needs more than this)
- Dexterity: 30 (With 30 Dexterity along with the Spell Sniper skill, this build has a 100% chance of landing critical hits with spells)
- Intelligence: 30 (Paired with Font of Mana this grants the build a 40% faster spell cooldown rate, essential for casting spells as often as possible)
- Wisdom: 23 (This boosts the damage dealt by Status Effects and pairs excellently with all the elemental damage this build specializes in)
- Constitution: 10 (There simply aren't enough points to raise this higher without sacrificing stats that are more useful to the build, but it's important not to have a negative value in this to make the most of Radiance and offset the penalty of Glass Cannon)
- Attunement: 12 (This build doesn't need an Action Skill cooldown boost as it exclusively uses Ambi-Hextrous)
Clawbringer Skills (Points Spent: 18)
- Tier 1: Oath of Fire (5/5): Adds 20% additional fire damage to the Fatemaker's guns and the Wyvern Companion's attacks. Useful for dealing fire damage with nearly every attack.
- Tier 1: Radiance (5/5): Grants a 30% boost to maximum ward, allowing the Fatemaker to tank more hits before any damage is done to their health pool. Useful as wards will no longer regenerate over time after taking Glass Cannon from Spellshot, making a larger pool useful.
- Tier 2: Dragon Aura (5/5): Grants the Fatemaker an aura that enhances the elemental damage they and their allies deal by 30%. This skill is excellent for amplifying elemental damage for the entire party, and the bonus is significant enough to be valuable in solo play too. Paired with skills like Oath of Fire, tremendous damage can be done even when simply attacking with guns.
- Tier 3: Blasthamut's Favor (1/1): This Kill skill causes gun kills (and kills with the Wyvern Companion's fire breath) to generate a homing fire orb that deals fire damage on contact with foes. It also causes melee kills (and kills with the Wyvern Companion's Claws) to generate a homing lightning orb that deals lightning damage on contact with foes. While the latter isn't likely to trigger often with this build, the former is a fantastic source of additional damage throughout the game.
- Tier 4: Fire Bolt (1/1): The Wyvern Companion now sometimes shoots fireballs that deal AOE fire damage. The Fatemaker also gains 8% additional gun damage. A useful skill for spreading even more fire over the battlefield and maintaining damage over time effects.
- Tier 4: Storm Breath (1/1): The Wyvern Companion now sometimes attacks with lightning breath, dealing lightning damage that can chain to multiple targets. The Fatemaker also gains a 12% boost to damage reduction. This helps to improve survivability while also providing a useful additional source of lightning damage.
Spellshot Skills (Points Spent: 26)
- Tier 1: Spell Sniper (5/5): Grants a 60% boost to spell critical hit rate, allowing the Fatemaker to deal huge amounts of damage with spell crits. These can be scored by hitting critical zones on an enemy or just by getting lucky.
- Tier 1: Magic Bullets (3/3): Grants 45% of all increases to spell damage to the Fatemaker's Gun Damage too. This pairs excellently with the Spellshot's Spellweaving feat.
- Tier 2: Font of Mana (5/5): Grants 20% improved spell cooldown rate and 15% improved ability cooldown rate. This allows the Fatemaker to use their spells more regularly, especially when paired with Ambi-hextrous. This allows the build to use magic constantly throughout the fight.
- Tier 2: Mage Armor (1/1): Restores 10% of ward whenever the Fatemaker gains a spellweaving stack. Since this build uses the Glass Cannon skill Mage Armor is essential for restoring wards and keeping the Fatemaker alive.
- Tier 3: Glass Cannon (1/1): Grants +30% Spell Damage but disables natural ward regeneration. Paired with Mage Armor and Radiance the drawback to this skill becomes far less dangerous, and the 30% increase in Spell Damage is incredible.
- Tier 4: Imbued Weapon (5/5): Whenever the Fatemaker casts a spell their gun attacks deal 10% additional elemental damage based on that spell's element. This lasts for 8 Seconds and stacks once for each spell equipped. Paired with Ambi-Hextrous this skill allows the Fatemaker to dish out tons of elemental damage tremendously easily.
- Tier 4: High Thread Count (1/1): Increases maximum Spellweaving stacks by 3. This allows the Fatemaker to have up to 8 Spellweaving stacks, benefiting from their boosts to spell damage and, via Magic Bullets, gun damage.
- Tier 5: Double Knot (3/3): When the Fatemaker lands a spell critical hit they deal 21% bonus gun damage of their gun's element. This allows the Fatemaker to inflict ever-greater amounts of elemental damage throughout the fight.
- Tier 5: One Slot, One Kill (1/1): Each stack of Spellweaving grants the player 4% extra gun damage. This helps amp up the damage dealt by the player with most of their weapons.
- Tier 6: Sever the Thread (1/1): Whenever the Fatemaker scores a critical hit with their gun, there's a 15% chance of instantly resetting all of their spell cooldowns. Even with the 5-second cooldown between activations, this skill is amazing for keeping spells readily available throughout the fight.
