Tiny Tina's Wonderlands very much feels like a Borderlands release, pushing players through a loot-filled adventure that is teeming with the same gunplay and humorous one-liners that players have come to know and love from the iconic franchise. There is so much to love about this release, that feels just like a Borderlands game but manages to differentiate itself enough by providing players with some unique mechanics. The class system returns, but this time players will gain access to an array of spell-slinging fantasy-inspired Dungeons & Dragons-style classes.

To make things even better, players are able to multi-class once they progress far enough into the title's main storyline. Multi-classing allows Fatemaker's to choose a secondary class (from one of the six original choices) to act as a blended hybrid that gives them a unique class title, and access to all of the secondary classes' skills and ability upgrades. Here's a look at how players can unlock their secondary class in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

Unfortunately, players won't be able to simply snag their secondary class soon after they drop into their fantasy loot-and-shoot adventure. They'll first need to progress the story a bit, until they can pass some pivotal events that help warp the main storyline. Although there are plenty of great side quests to take on for players looking for loot, gold, and EXP, players that are interested in multi-classing should try to blaze through the Main Story as quickly as possible.

Thankfully, multi-classing is actually pretty quick to unlock for those that are just progressing the Main Story, as the pre-requisite is only four-or-so levels deep into the adventure, for those that are skipping past everything else. Once players make it out of the Snoring Valley, which acts as a pretty lengthy tutorial stage, they can make their way through the Overworld and to the Queen's Gate. After battling through hordes of Skeletons, the Fatemaker will liberate the title's hub world, Brighthoof.

Once Brighthoof is "unlocked," it's a quick jaunt through a spooky area called Shattergrave Barrow and a rather big bad in Zomboss. Defeating her will transport players back to Brighthoof with a special prize, and then truly unlock the hub to the player, giving them access to a variety of areas to explore. After a rather shocking cutscene, players will be instructed to enter the Weepwild Dankness and locate an enigmatic Bard, who fans of the series will surely recognize.

After meeting this Bard and heading back to Brighthoof (then once again speaking to him at the Docks), players will be greeted to one of the most over-the-top cutscenes to ever grace the Borderlands series. After this cutscene concludes, players will have gained access to Multiclassing, which they can activate by going into their Character Skills panel and hitting the appropriate button on the new section that appears next to their original class tree.

How To Change Secondary Class In Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Tiny Tinas Wonderlands Quick Change

Once players have successfully multi-classed into their chosen hybrid, they'll need to remain as whatever they pick through the main storyline. Players will not be able to change their Secondary Class until they have completed the main storyline. Although this seems detrimental to the experience, it's not, and players shouldn't worry about not having much to do after the big bad falls and the final story arc closes. Players will still have plenty of things to do throughout Tiny Tina's Wonderlands' end game, including the Chaos Chamber, which acts as a never-ending randomizer of enemies, bosses, and loot.

Players will be able to change their Secondary Class on the fly by visiting the Quick-Change Station after the main story has ended, where they will find a new option to swap their Secondary Class. This gives players even more customization to alter their playstyle for Chaos Chambers.
