Titan Quest 2's early access period is now in full swing, offering gamers a fresh RPG steeped in Ancient Greek myths. Goddess of Retribution, Nemesis, seeks to destroy all who oppose her, leaving it up to players to take her on. Early feedback for Titan Quest 2 has been quite positive, so far, but there is one feature that many have been waiting for but have yet to properly experience.
Unfortunately, Titan Quest 2 doesn't have full-blown co-op support yet. Of course, the game is merely in its early access stage, so co-op will arrive later on, but as of now, players can only experience a small dose of the feature. For those in search of a new action RPG, Titan Quest 2 may be well worth the time, but gamers who are wanting a robust multiplayer experience might want to hold off on diving into the fight against Nemesis.
Titan Quest 2 Will Get Full Co-Op Down the Road
- It's unclear when Titan Quest 2 will add co-op.
Titan Quest 2's early access version features an estimated 15 hours of content.
The Early Access Period Isn't Fully Void of Multiplayer
While Titan Quest 2 developers Grimlore Games are not promoting co-op, some players have been able to find a beta version of multiplayer with the game. However, this beta version reportedly has plenty of issues, so side-stepping the beta is likely for the best, especially since Grimlore Games isn't advertising it. For those giving Titan Quest 2 a try for the first time, the lack of co-op is likely to go unnoticed, but for longtime fans who were looking forward to playing with friends, the absence of the feature is apparent.
A game like Titan Quest 2 is fun enough on its own as a solo player, but for those who enjoy experiencing action RPGs with friends, the launch of the long-awaited game's early access may be far less exciting, at least for now. It has been confirmed that multiplayer will come eventually, but when exactly that is has yet to be announced. Once Titan Quest 2 finally gets multiplayer, the hype surrounding the RPG will likely grow even stronger.
Titan Quest 2's early access launch was a huge surprise, and it kicked off the month of August in a big way. With upcoming gaming events like Gamescom, Mafia: The Old Country's launch this weekend, and Battlefield 6's open beta, this month was already packed, and Titan Quest 2 has shaken up an impressive schedule.
On Steam, Grimlore Games emphasizes the importance of community feedback, stating, "We plan to run regular surveys, organize feedback sessions, and will be actively monitoring our surveys, reports, forums, Discord, Reddit and social media and delivering updates continuously throughout the early access."
When Will Titan Quest 2 Leave Early Access?
- As of now, a full launch is expected at the end of 2026.
The game's official Steam page reads, "We will stay in Early Access for as long as needed, depending on the feedback of our community. Currently, we are thinking about one year." This is definitely subject to change, but that at least gives players a general idea of what launch target to look out for. Titan Quest 2 taking its time in early access will only help create a stronger experience for players in the long run, so if the full launch gets delayed, it will likely be worth it.
Titan Quest 2 is a welcome addition to the August lineup, and even though the multiplayer features that are currently present are in a rough state, the game is off to a strong start. As the weeks and months pass, it will be fascinating to see how it evolves over time and what the completed version of co-op has in store.
