Titan Quest 2 will challenge players in many ways, which might include World Quests like Heroic Spirit, one of the toughest early missions players will find while exploring the Flooded Farmlands region.
This guide will help players find the warrior Kaenas, who has been lost after the flood and the subsequent Icthian attack on the village of Pyrgos. This guide will also help players obtain a valuable Legendary Sword, so take note of the following tips to complete the mission successfully.
How to Start Heroic Spirit in Titan Quest 2
Heroic Spirit is one of the many World Quests (secondary missions) in Titan Quest 2 that players will find while exploring Pyrgos Village. They will have to meet and talk with an NPC named Zita, on the northwest side of Pyrgos (close to the elevator). Zita will ask players to find a legendary warrior named Kaenas, who saved her and other refugees during the Icthian attack, and to help him return to Pyrgos if possible.
This quest will take players to the farther north side of the Flooded Farmlands, past The Enclave, and into the western shore. Players need to traverse the Icthian-infested swamplands, and reach a place called 'Secluded Beach,' to find Kaenas and proceed with the Quest.
In the image above, players will find the exact location of the Secluded Beach region where Kaenas is located, using as a reference the place where they meet Zita, next to Pyrgos' northern exit (elevator). Once players arrive at the beach, they will notice Kaenas is a spectre, and he is fighting against a lot of Icthians. Prepare yourselves for a tough fight.
- Players need to defeat four waves of Icthian attackers to complete this part of the Quest.
- If they die, the last wave they were fighting is reset, so be careful.
- The last wave has an Icthian Magus, a powerful boss Enemy, which uses tons of Poison (Plague) attacks, bring a Potion with the Purification attribute (which cleases the Plagued Ailment).
Once players have defeated the monsters, Kaenas will ask them to recover his sword, so he can finally rest in peace. The sword was stolen from his body by the Icthians, so players need to climb the cliffs north of where Kaenas is to find it. They will find it by killing the Icthians in the area, and if they are also doing the Headhunt Quest, they will be able to find one of the Icthian Commanders in this area.
Now, with the Sword back in their pockets, they need to return to Kaenas, and deliver the weapon to complete the quest. Surprisingly, Kaenas' is ready to part with its sword, which is a Legendary Quality blade with pretty high attributes (similar to Patroclus' Shortblade from Titan Quest I).
After that, they will also receive Gold, Experience, and an Attribute Point, so, the Heroic Spirit World Quest is concluded, and players can now go back to Pyrgos to talk to Zita once more and tell her about the fate of Kaenas. About how he died being a proud warrior, and how the players have inherited his Legendary Sword.
