Pulling reflective mechanics from Zelda games of old, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom challenges players to use the same manipulation of light within the Rakashog Shine. The shrine offers a teaching environment for players to understand the
Mirror Zonai Devices while also providing more elaborate puzzles for them to push themselves with.
Rakashog Shrine Location in TotK
Players will find Rakashog Shrine in the East Gerudo Sky Archipelago in the southeastern area of the map. It can easily be reached by using the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower to enter the sky and then gliding east toward the islands.
Like many sky island shrines in Tears of the Kingdom, the Rakashog Shrine will be on the island roughly shaped like a plus sign along with a Zonai Dispenser. Players can activate the shrine and take on the challenge that awaits.
Rakashog Shrine Walkthrough
As players enter the Rakashog Shrine, they will find a bright beam of light coming from above and a locked door. On the ground to the left of the door, players can find a Zonai Device known as a Mirror. Like any mirror, this device will reflect light and redirect it wherever Link aims it.
How to Solve the First Puzzle in the Rakashog Shrine
Players should use Ultrahand to grab the mirror and direct the light toward the large hexagonal switch above the door to open it. It should be noted that the switch requires the light to be sustained for a few seconds before opening.
How to Solve the Second Puzzle in the Rakashog Shrine
In the next room, players will find another mirror and a locked door with a light and a switch on the opposite side. Players should lift the mirror up and through the hole in the wall to reflect the light into the hexagon once again to open the door.
How to Solve the Third Puzzle in the Rakashog Shrine
Through into the following room, players will find the switch in a lowered area with no light. Players should return to the previous room and position the mirror so that the line shines through from that room into the next room.
Players can then grab the other mirror to reflect the light down to the switch, activating the lift underneath.
How to Solve the Fourth Puzzle in the Rakashog Shrine
Once upstairs, players can enter the final room to find two constructs with more mirrors. With the enemies defeated, players can use the mirrors provided to reflect the light around the wall in the back to open the statue room and claim the Light of Blessing.
How to Get the Hidden Chest in the Rakashog Shrine
However, before players leave the final room, they should take one of the mirrors and redirect the light back toward the room with the lift. They should also find the Mirror Club, a fusion of a mirror and a Zoanite Sword, dropped by one of the defeated constructs and take it with them to the previous room.
In the lift room, players will find a large block and another room that can be placed as shown in the picture above. The Mirror Club can be placed on the ground at an angle allowing the player to redirect the light to the mirror on top of the block and then into the switch above the locked door.
Players could also lay a mirror down flat on the ground and use Ultrahand to hold another mirror at the correct height for the hexagonal switch, but the previous method requires a little less stability. In either solution, players can enter the room to claim a
Large Zonai Charge before completing the shrine.
