Tomb Raider 4–6 Remastered was released for PC and consoles on February 14. The remaster collection was met with somewhat mixed reviews, as underlined by its 69 average rating on OpenCritic, where it also holds a 47% reviewer recommendation rate.

The Best War Games caught up with Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered development studio Aspyr to discuss the renaissance that Lara Croft is currently enjoying.
Two months following Tomb Raider 4–6 Remastered's release, the collection received its first-ever patch, which rolled out to PC and consoles on April 18. The changelog attached to the update contains over 50 items, including some content additions and gameplay improvements. The Outfit Selector in Tomb Raider 4 and TR5 received even more costumes, while the Photo Mode was enhanced with new features like an Animate option, sunglasses, and classic graphics mode facial animations. Moreover, the update resizes the high-definition menu fonts in the fourth and fifth games to better blend them with the overall visuals.
The new patch also refines some Tomb Raider 4–6 Remastered features and visuals. Textures have been cleaned up to reduce visible seams, while flares were reworked with the goal of having them accurately illuminate the environment. Fixed camera angles were removed when using the Modern Controls setting, while Lara's animations were disabled in instances where she is dead or unconscious, which previously caused some unintended silliness. Another change specific to Modern Controls concerns the rope grabbing, torch handling, and jump switches interactions, all of which are now supposed to be more responsive.
Tomb Raider 4–6 Remastered developer Aspyr also tweaked some menu behaviors, like disabling music in the inventory. On the subject of audio, secret music tracks will no longer interrupt ambient sounds but instead be layered on top of them. The new patch also improves retractable trap animations and ensures Lara makes "appropriate facial expressions" when suffering falls from great heights, the changelog reads. The inventory menu will run at a stable 60 frames per second following the new update, which also addresses some previously identified localization inconsistencies.
In terms of game-specific changes, the April 2025 update replaces the models of some Tomb Raider 4–6 Remastered characters. For example, Aziza's face model in TR4 has been changed with the goal of bringing her gameplay and cutscene appearances closer together. Likewise, various TR6 characters now feature high-definition models, while both Lara and Kurtis's models have been updated with dynamic hair physics. Aspyr has yet to clarify whether it's presently working on additional Tomb Raider 4–6 Remastered updates.
