Found on a ledge above the patio of the government building, to get to the San Francisco Secret Tape location, THPS 3+4 players must perform a wallride to gain enough height to grab it. This guide explains where to find the Secret Tape in the San Francisco level and what you must do to get the San Francisco Secret Tape in THPS 3+4.

How To Get The San Francisco Secret Tape In THPS 3+4

Though the San Francisco Secret Tape location in THPS 3+4 is not necessarily difficult to find, or hidden in an out of the way location, it can be a little bit tricky to get to if you aren't familiar with the wallriding mechanic. To wallride in THPS 3+4, you must approach a wall from an angle, jump onto it, then press the grind input (Y or △) when you come into contact with the wall. Your character will ride it up a short distance, allowing you to reach otherwise unreachable locations.

To get the Secret Tape in the San Francisco level, follow these steps to find its location and gain enough speed and height to reach it:

  1. From the spawn point in the San Francisco level, turn left and look for a spiral pathway leading upward outside the municipal building.
  2. Ride onto either side of this spiral pathway (or grind the guard rail leading up), then go right to get onto the building patio.
  3. Turn right and continue to ride along the patio pathway that curves around the building. You should see the San Francisco level Secret Tape on a ledge just above as you ride around this corner.
  4. Ride until you reach a half pipe, then ollie off of it and perform a trick or two to gain some speed and reorient your positioning so that you are facing the Secret Tape location.
  5. Ride into the wall on your right to approach the ledge, then Wallride to gain more height.
  6. Jump off the wall to the left just before you reach the ledge, and you should leap onto the Secret Tape. Press the Grind input to grind the ledge and land safely back on the ground!
