Hearts are an important commodity in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. When they can't be acquired through trading Lights of Blessing at a Goddess Statue, Link can find solace in temporary hearts provided by Hearty ingredients like
Hearty Radish,
Hearty Truffles,
Hearty Bass, and
Hearty Salmon.
Hearty Salmon might be the rarest of the bunch, only cropping up in a limited number of locations around Hyrule. Here is everywhere that players can find Hearty Salmon in Tears of the Kingdom.
Where to Find Hearty Salmon in Tears of the Kingdom
Hearty Salmon can be found for free in various ponds and lakes around Hyrule. As most of these locations are rather small pools of water, Link should have no trouble diving in and catching them himself. But if the player wants to make them easier to catch, shooting them directly with arrows or the general area with an arrow fused with a Shock Fruit or Yellow Chu Chu Jelly will immobilize them.
Players can find Hearty Salmon in the following locations:
- Tama Pond, a small pool of water north of the Tabantha Frontier (coordinates -3003, 1857, 0272)
- The water around the Flight Range (coordinates -3853, 2290, -0010)
- Hyrule Castle Moat, behind the chasm (coordinates -0124, 1193, 0037)
Where to Buy Hearty Salmon in Tears of the Kingdom
Hearty Salmon can only be purchased at one location in Hyrule, at Zora's Domain General Store in Zora's Domain. They only sell one, given its rarity, but it can be purchased for 80 Rupees (and duplicated if necessary).
What to Do With Hearty Salmon in Tears of the Kingdom
Hearty Salmon can be eaten raw (appetizing) for four hearts, which can be incredibly handy in a pinch. To maximize the benefits of the bonus hearts, the player should cook Hearty Salmon before eating it.
Recipes That Use Hearty Salmon
There are many recipes in Tears of the Kingdom that which Hearty Salmon can be added to increase the bonus hearts of the dish. One cooked Hearty Salmon is equal to four bonus hearts, but adding it to a meal increases the amount of health it can restore, too. Any dish that involves fish can have a Hearty Salmon in it; just make sure not to combine it with any other Effect ingredients, as they'll cancel each other out.
