Gacha game Tribe Nine has surpassed 10 million downloads less than a month after launch. Developed by Akatsuki Games, Tribe Nine follows protagonist Yo Kuronaka and his friends as they overcome life-or-death battles in Neo Tokyo.

Tribe Nine stands out because its characters and overall art style were created by Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka. Certain elements in Tribe Nine are also reminiscent of the Danganronpa franchise's story and gameplay, such as the violent nature of XG (Extreme Games) being similar to the killing game. In terms of combat, the title has a mix of tactical gameplay and beat-em-up content, in which players can switch between characters to provide assistive damage or defense.

After officially launching in late February 2025, Tribe Nine is already proving to be a hit as it was recently announced that it had reached 10 million downloads worldwide. To celebrate this incredible milestone, the gacha game is giving all players 1,200 Enigma Entities, which they can use to pull for characters. Tribe Nine fans can also obtain more Enigma Entities via codes, so they can save up for the character's they want.

Tribe Nine Reaches 10 Million Downloads

Many fans congratulated Tribe Nine for the accomplishment, and also expressed their gratitude for the Enigma Entities, which is similar to how Honkai: Star Rail gifts fans whenever new milestones are reached. Shortly after the milestone announcement, the devs also shared the content set to be included in the game's upcoming Ver. 1.0.10 update. According to a blog post, Tribe Nine is launching a new 3-star banner character named Kazuki Aoyama, who has the ability to grant shields to party members and can deal high break damage with his melee attacks. Players can also obtain Aoyama's 3-star Tension Card called “Things to Hold On To,” and unlock his "Vengeance" costume via the Fashion Ticket Exchange. Likewise, Tribe Nine also gave a rundown of quality of life improvements, events, and bug fixes that are coming to Ver. 1.0.10.

In a sea of popular gacha games that are out on PC and mobile right now, Tribe Nine offers unique combat with extreme baseball elements and exciting storytelling that are different from other titles. It also has the potential to be more successful as the story progresses in the future.
