What Two Point Game Would You Like to See Next?
Two Point Studios have released two hilarious management games: Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus. The next entry in this series was announced in August 2024, and this time around players will get to design their dream museum with Two Point Museum. The question is: what comes next? I would love to see Two Point Hotel, Two Point AirBnB, or Two Point Resort. They could even tackle all of these at once, by increasing the grandeur of buildings as gamers progressed through the game. The possibilities are endless here, whether it comes to amenities, rooms, guests, and hotel staff.
How To Increase Staff Happiness in Two Point Museum
Along with keeping customers happy with your museum's stunning exhibits and interactive features, players will also need to keep the happiness and welfare of their employees in mind, or risk having to hire and train a whole new team. Thankfully, the game is pretty user-friendly when it comes to helping to identify any problems that arise, but you should pay close attention in particular to these facets of your employees' mood and satisfaction with their job.
Satisfy Hunger and Thirst Needs
Staff who are hungry or thirsty will find themselves distracted and dissatisfied with their job if they are left alone for too long. Generally, a water or food symbol will pop up above their head when either affliction affects them, but you can also keep tabs on their hunger and thirst by clicking on the employee and checking out their profile.
Hunger and thirst are relatively easy to manage. Simply pick up the employee by clicking and holding them, then drag them to a water or food source. The best way to cover all bases is to install a buffet table and a water fountain in the Staff Room, so they can take a break, eat, and drink at the same time.
Allow Them To Rest When Tired
If a lightning symbol appears above an employee and their movement becomes sluggish, then it means they are exhausted and are in desperate need of a break. To cure their exhaustion, players will need to encourage their staff to sit down and rest. To do this, simply pick up the employee and place them next to a bench, chair, or seat, so they can recuperate.
Much like with hunger and thirst, the surefire easiest way to top up almost all physical happiness indicators is to deck out the Staff Room with essential features and decorate it with plenty of cosmetic items and drop them in there. Once in the room, the employee will eat, drink, and rest to their heart's content, and will return to work once their happiness levels have replenished.
Relieve Toilet Discomfort
You would hope that staff would manage this on their own, but sometimes you will find some employees needing to relieve toilet discomfort because they have been too occupied with giving tours, selling tickets, or performing any other time-consuming tasks. This is an easy one to identify, and has a simple solution.
To relieve any toilet discomfort, simply pick up the staff member and drop them in the bathroom. They will automatically find a vacant cubicle, relieve their discomfort, and return to work.
Train Them To Learn New Skills
Even if you manage all the physical happiness indicators, employees may still find themselves dissatisfied with their job if they feel there is no opportunities for progression. When a book symbol appears above their head, this means they have a desire to receive training to learn new skills.
To train staff, simply open the training menu, select the employee, and assign them a new skill to learn. This will take them away from their job for a fixed timeframe, but they will come out of it with a specialization that will come in handy for any challenges your museum faces.
Employees receive a new training slot for every five levels of progression.
Increase Their Pay
Perhaps the biggest obstacle players will have to overcome is pay satisfaction. Naturally, longer-tenured staff and those who have received training for new skills will be wanting more compensation for their loyalty to the business. The trick here is that too many salary increases could hurt the profitability of the business, but this will serve as an indicator that you either have too many staff members, or you need to make improvements to the quality of the museum, so it can bring in more profit.
Players can monitor the satisfaction of their staff with regard to pay by clicking on the Staff or Finances tab at the bottom of the screen, under Management, or by clicking on individual staff members. Next to their salary, you will see a face that shows how satisfied they are with their wages, ranging from a red dissatisfied face to a dark-green, very happy face. You can toggle their pay by sliding the bar until you have the new salary you wish to pay them, and click the green tick to confirm. Alternatively, you can click the "Satisfy All Requests" button in the Staff menu, which will meet the pay rise requests to a "Fair" level on the satisfaction scale.
What To Do When An Employee Threatens To Quit in Two Point Museum
If staff are left unattended for too long, they will generally accumulate negative status effects which, when combined, will enrage them to the point that they will threaten to quit their job. This will become clear when a timer appears above their head, from which you will have two minutes to calm them down. To figure out what is going wrong, players will benefit from clicking on the staff member to see the conditions that are troubling them.
For the most part, an employee's issue will stem from having a combination of hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and toilet discomfort, so the first thing you will want to do is drop them straight into the Staff Room to eat, drink, and rest. Once they are done there, you'll want to drop them straight in the bathroom to alleviate that issue. Once done, the employee will likely be calm enough to want to stay, but it is worth checking their satisfaction when it comes to pay and training. In short, keeping an employee from quitting requires a combination of all the above tips for increasing happiness, and consistent monitoring of any changes in mood and satisfaction levels.
