The idea of playing a licensed Avatar game was interesting for many fans, even if Frontiers of Pandora was essentially a Far Cry reskin. This may have disappointed some fans, but players who weren't tired of this formula could look past these issues and enjoy one of the most beautiful first-person Ubisoft games.

The Western Frontier looks beautiful as players help the world regain its color after removing the human presence from the land. The gameplay and graphics are the two biggest reasons why players can easily spend a ton of hours in this title without batting an eye.

There was a time when Ubisoft experimented with its titles instead of sticking to a rigid formula. This led to the creation of creative games like XIII, a stylish third-person shooter that helped players feel like they were inside a comic book from the get-go.

Players love the fluid combat and engrossing visuals, and it's a shame that the remake failed to live up to the original game's hype. It's a testament to how passionate fans are about this underappreciated title that a subpar attempt to revitalize the title didn't sit right with them.

Instead, players must use suppression and flanking tactics by ordering their squad to pin enemy groups down. This makes combat feel different from most other military shooters that try to achieve a power fantasy, rewarding players for using their brains along with the firepower they wield.

The Wii was touted by many as a family-friendly console, which is why hardcore gamers who got this console loved titles like Red Steel that let players enjoy more mature experiences with the Wiimote. The first title had its flaws, but was decent to play through, but the sequel was a step above in every way.

Motion controls were more accurate in the sequel, and the game managed to be challenging without forcing players through unjustifiable difficulty spikes. Red Steel 2 managed to fulfill the potential of the first game and is one of the best action-packed first-person Ubisoft games on the Wii.

While Far Cry 4 was a decent game in its own right, fans were hoping for more of an evolution from this sequel. This prompted Ubisoft to implement major overhauls in Far Cry 5 to help it stand out as a worthwhile entry in the series.

The non-linear story progression, action-packed gameplay loop, and excellent exploration made it clear that Far Cry 5 would stand out as one of the better entries in the series. It helps that the Seed family features some of the most compelling video game antagonists, who will send chills down a player's spine with their performances.

The fact that Ubisoft put so much effort into a movie tie-in game allows players to reminisce on interesting times, where many games of old were from movies instead of the other way around. It helped that Peter Jackson's King Kong was spearheaded by the brilliant mind of Michel Ancel, the man behind the Rayman series and Beyond Good & Evil.

Players loved how immersive this title was, making them fear for their very lives whenever they were hounded by dinosaurs as Jack Driscoll. To offset this, the player was allowed to enjoy a wild power fantasy as King Kong, letting them break dinosaur jaws and smash smaller enemies to a pulp.

To this day, Far Cry 3's legacy persists as one of the greatest video games ever made. Exploring the Rook Islands as Jason and dealing with the overbearing threats of Vaas and Hoyt was a groundbreaking experience back in the day.

The game did a great job of justifying Jason's supernatural skills and how he was able to clear out entire outposts in the blink of an eye. While the formula may be repetitive now, Far Cry 3 felt fresh back in the day and continues to be riveting in modern times as long as players accept some aspects of its dated gameplay loop.
